Team building session 1 was due to begin any moment now. There were 12 teams at the camp in total but the 6 in this session time slot were:

•Karasuno

•Inarizaki

•Nekoma

•Shiratorizawa

•Aobajohsai

•Johzenji

The idea was for everyone in Karasuno to show up to their first session as it was an icebreaker session. Same with all of the other schools.

Some of them hadn't played against a handful of these teams before and wanted to check out the competition, some wanted to make friends, some wanted to do both.

However, Yamaguchi Tadashi hadn't shown up.

"Where's Yams?" Hinata whispered to Tsukishima.

"I don't know. They weren't in the dorm when we got back." Tsukishima shrugged.

"Tick off your name on your respective team sheet so we know who has attended each session!" one of the session facilitators spoke for the third time after the last cluster of team members walked in.

As they entered, the facilitator shut the door and walked to the front of the room.

"Welcome to team building session 1! You can refer to me as Sensei Satō. This is the first ice breaker session for the camp. Now whether you see familiar or unrecognisable faces here, we're giving everyone the opportunity to-"

The man was cut off by the doors opening.

"Sorry I'm late." A voice spoke from behind them, causing everyone to divert their eyes to the incoming student.

It was Yamaguchi.

Whispers filled the room and comments flashed around each team.

"Wait is that a girl?"

"Who's that?"

"What team is he on? Karasuno?"

"A nose piercing?? Fuckkk."

"Wait he's kinda... hot."

"What year do you think he's in??"

A whistle blew loudly, "Silence in the room please!" Satō hushed the boys, "Welcome, glad you joined us! Tick your name off of the sheet with your team name on and sit amongst the others."

Yamaguchi nodded, feeling the invasive eyes watch his every move. He scanned the room as he did this and spotted Suna amongst the crowd who gave him a slight nod. Tadashi winked at him and walked towards the sheets to tick his name which caused a quieter, yet another furious wave of whispering.

Before they could increase in volume again, Satō continued, "As I was saying! We're giving everyone the opportunity to get to know each other here. I want you all to walk up to someone on another team and introduce yourself to them, then they can do the same. Say your name, your year, the position you play and a non-volleyball related fact about you! When I blow the whistle and say rotate, you move around the room and find someone else to talk to. Everyone up!"

Excited chatter commenced, as the boys all stood up.

"Tadashi where have you been?" Tsukishima asked, glancing at his friend.

"Nowhere really, just around. I found a good spot." Yamaguchi responded, a slight glint was in his eye and he scanned the room.

"A good spot? As in a smoke spot?" Tsukishima asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No big deal Tsukki, we're not playing any matches today, it was just a cigarette anyway."

Tsukishima sighed, feeling irritated at the fact that his friend was constantly damaging his body, refusing to see the long term effects. At this rate- volleyball would be out fo the question for his friend in a matter of years.

Before Tsukki could respond, the whistle blew once again, "Split up and introduce yourselves!" the facilitator instructed. Within seconds, the friends were instantly swarmed with people, but their attentions were mainly directed on Yamaguchi.

Yamaguchi's shoulder was tapped by a collection of hands, each boy attempting to draw the players attention.
"I got here first man, buzz off." one told another.
"Move out the way, I'm speaking to him." another one complained.
"Someone's popular with the ladies." Tsukishima snickered in amusement towards his friend.
"Shut up." Yamaguchi said, rolling his eyes at the taller boy.

"Hey blondie, what's your name?" a voice spoke, causing Tsukishima to spin around. The first voice to not address Yamaguchi.

"Tsukishima Kei... what's yours?" the boy spoke hesistantly.

"Bokuto Kōtarō, I'm a third year at Fukurōdani!" the other boy replied enthusiastically. He had round golden eyes accompanied with spiky dark hair with white streaks in it.

"I'm a first year." the blonde replied, deeming the boy before him's hair to be attention seeking.

"Oooh that means I'm your senpai!" Bokuto gleamed.

"Mhm." Tsukishima glared, wondering why he seemed so happy.

"I'm the ace of my team you know?!"

"I didn't."

"Is your friend here the ace of your team?" the third year asked, gesturing towards Yamaguchi who was talking to a group of about 7 others.

"No."

"Wow he sure is popular."

"Yep."

"Is he single?"

Tsukishima scowled slightly, "Their pronouns are they/them by the way. And yes, they're single. Why?"

"Ahh cool! A lot of fellas on my team find them attractive and were wondering."

"Fellas including you..?" Tsukishima asked.

"Nah, not really my type, plus I'm in a relationship!"

"Good for you." the blonde replied, wondering who would date such a gregarious person.

The whistle blew, "ROTATE!" the facilitator spoke.
'Thank god', Tsukishima thought.

"See you around Tsukishima-chan!!" Bokuto waved, with a wide smile before walking off to disturb a new person.

The current boys surrounding Yamaguchi ignored the whistle and proceeded on with the conversation they were actively engaged in.

"So who do you find the most attractive out of all of us?" one asked.

"Nobuyoshi you can't just ask that!" one of his teammates disciplined him.

Yamaguchi chuckled at this and then Suna caught his eye as he walked towards them.

"We're meant to rotate, you guys can find someone else to talk to." the dark haired boy spoke lowly.

The others looked at his bored expression, deciding not to start an issue and walked away.

"Thankyou." Yamaguchi spoke.

"My pleasure." Suna winked, "Is it always like that?" he asked.

"What do you mean?"

"The hoard of boys constantly surrounding you like you're a piece of meat and they're wolves."

Yamaguchi chuckled and rubbed his neck, "It wasn't always like this."

"Tell me more." Suna spoke, locking eyes with the boy in front of him.

Yamaguchi didn't easily break off eye contact, but if he held it any second longer, there were no promises on the actions he would commit.
