[Y/n's pov]

I couldn't find the peace to sleep, as I twisted on the ground again, trying to find comfortable position to sleep in. As I couldn't do so anyways, I came up to Aris, tapping on his shoulder, to let him know I'm there.
"What's up?" he asked, looking up at me, from our look out spot, where we took turns to guard us all.
"Nothing much," I answered. He just gave me a look, that was obviously asking for more information. "I couldn't sleep, so I decided to step in for you here." I explained, sitting down next to him.
"But my turns not done." he protested, still sitting still, looking at me.
"I know, but I'm not sleeping anyways, so I may as well do something useful with that. Also, you can get some rest." I explained, as he realized the cons for him, agreeing to leave his place sooner, to hit the bed and get more sleep.

Sunrise was nowhere near, and I already told another person to go to sleep, that I'm on the guard instead of them. I was watching the sky light up, but the sun shouldn't be up for at least another three or four hours. The light appeared and disappeared. Like it blipped. I was so confused, this never happened in the Glade. Then the bang came. I jumped up from my spot, with the loud sound. The sound also woke Thomas up, making him jolt up and look around for the source, as it sounded somewhat close to gun shot.
"Where are they? Where is y/n?!" I heard him say quite loudly, as he woke up the others, looking for me.
"I'm right here!" I informed, sliding down the sandy hill, to get down there as fast as possible.
"This must be a thunder.." said Newt, after another loud bang.
"And we should get the hell out of here." said Minho.
"Look!" Thomas pointed to the shimmering lights in a distance. All of us looked at each other, before another thunder and lightning struck near us, running to that direction. The storm got worse with every step, as we rushed through, not only the scorched land, but also an absolute scrapyard. So many cars, half eaten with rust, without any kind of wheels or doors, just completely destroyed and unusable. We continued our run for our lives, sand flying up from our shoes, as the storm roared closer, and all the lightnings were nearly hitting us. Until one of them hit Minho. The energy hitting him straight from the sky, shot not only him, but Thomas and Aris near him, high into the sky. We all stopped as we realized what happened, rushing back over to the three guys. Thomas and Aris rose up with no issue, but Minho didn't move an inch. Thomas rushed to him, as the lightnings were striking all around us. He and Newt took Minho up, and dragged him to a small building, where Fry was standing with the doors wide open. The moment the last of us went through that door, Frypan rushed inside and closed them. We all got around Minho, extremely anxious about the fact he had just been struck by a lightning.
The relief we all felt, as loud, sharp, inhale could be heard from the ground, where Minho was laying, was indescribable.
"What happened?" sounded Minho's raspy voice.
"You just got struck by a lightning dude." said Fry, with a slight laugh of relief.
"Guys," started Teresa, sounding much more concerned than I would like at the moment. "can you smell the odd stink, or is it just me?" she said slowly, turning her flashlight a little bit around.
The moment the light cone met the supposedly empty space, I could feel my blood freezing in my nerve system. All around the room were the creatures, Cranks, slowly raising their heads, hunger and blood-thirst glistening in their eyes.
I screamed in terror as I realized the room was filled with them. It was absolutely terrifying look, and even worse feeling, watching as the first of them came straight at us. As it leapt forward, the moment it was only a few bits away, it was jerked backwards. It looked like it was on a some kind of leash. And soon I realized it really was held back by a chain wrapped around it's neck, or wrists, or ankles. The door on the other side of the room flew open. A mysterious person walked from there, their hair short and looking like a dark crown around their head, with the light behind them.
"Stop! Don't move any closer!" yelled Thomas, almost desperately. The young lady just simply smiled and kept on walking. Right in the middle of a path, bordered by all the Crank's hands, trying to scratch her, or harm her in any other way. She only stopped when she was clearly facing us.
"Jorge has been waiting on you all night, we didn't think you'd show up." she said rather calmly, not caring for the chaos happening around her. We all looked at each other, as she turned away and started walking back. She turned around once more. "Are you coming?" was all she said, not receiving any answer. "Or would you rather stay here with the guard dogs?" she let out a soft laugh, as she disappeared behind the door, all of us slowly following her.
