Chapter 18 - Stargazing

[Y/n's pov.]

,,Hey!" I greet everyone, as I sit down with my food.
,,Hi." respondes Alby. And others just wave or nodd. Newt sits next to me. I start eating when I feel Newt's hand on my arm.
,,You sure you are okay?" he asks.
,,Are you having the same Deja vu as I am?" I ask in responde. ,,Yes, I'm sure." I say, smiling, eating again. he lets go of my arm.
,,(Y/n), you will be able to move today." says Gally as he sits down.
,,Great!" I exclaim happily, knowing I'll have my own hut from today.

I wonder around Glade. It has been a week, since I moved into my own hut. Only week and I will be here for two months. I shake my head to get rid of these thoughts. That's when I can hear someone screaming from a east door.
,,Med-jack!" I snap my head to the left, to look at the boys. One is carrying the other. That's when I realise I'm Med-jack and I run to them quickly.
,,What happened?" I ask Minho as I help him carry other runner into the Med-hut.
,,I found him. He got stung. It's really rare that Greviers go out during a day." we lay him on a bed.
,,Go grab a bandages." I say to Minho, turning to the hurt Glader. Minho leaves the room. That's when the Glader's eyes snap open. I let a small scream escape my mouth, before he jumps at me.
I kick him hardly before he's to close. Sending him back to his bed. Hitting the one place that sends him to sleep.
That's when I hear steps.
,,Are you allright?!" asks Newt quickly as he rushs towards me, with Alby and Minho right behind him. He catches my face, looking me up and down. Then he hugs me. I am glad he's hugging me, but I don't get why he was so scared.
,,I'm totally fine, he didn't have a chance to touch me." I reply, hugging him back sligthly. Then I back off. ,,You allright? You seem frightened.."
,,I heard you scream. I was so scared something happend." he respondes. I smile. That's when I hear a scream. Realising, the hurt Glader and Alby and Minho are still there.
,,Here are the bandages." says Minho, giving me them. I place them on a small table and take out my Med-jack key, unlocking a small chest, with some other medical stuff. And most importly the Griever serum. I take a small battle.
I rush to the Gladers, searching his body where he got stung. When I found it, it's on his left side, I inject the serum inside him. He screams, reaching for me, but I hit the specific place with my free hand again, sending him straight to sleep. Then I just bandage him.
When I look up, I notice all the boys looking at me with a slight shock.
,,Holy Klunk, you just sent that shank to sleep by one hit." exclaims Minho. I laugh little nervously.
,,Nothing to see here, let the patient rest." I say, pushing all of them out. I leave the room too.
I tell about hurt Glader Jeff.

I lay in my bed, hearing the Glader scream in his sleep. I can't do anything. I can't even sleep. I get up, barefoot, in shorts and tank top leaving my hut, entering the sleeping Glade.
I lay down on a nice spot of fluffy grass and look up at the stars. Counting them, trying to find some pictures.
,,Hey." whispers someone to my left. It scares me and before I can do anything else, I underkick his legs, sending him to the ground. I sit up, realising how stupid I am.
,,I'm so sorry!" I say.
,,I see someone's little jumpy." laughs Newt, sitting up.
,,I'm really sorry, I thought everyone is sleeping." I explain as I lay down again, looking at the stars.
,,Then why are you up?" he asks, laying next to me.
,,Can't sleep with the Glader's screams. Why are you up?" I ask still looking at the stars.
,,I dunno, I don't sleep well." he explains.
,,What?" I ask, turning on my side to look him into the face. ,,Is it the hammock? Because now you have your bed back." I laugh.
,,No, I sleep better in the hammock that in the bed.." he admits. ,,I dunno, it's just the place I guess." he explains.
,,Yeah, probably." I respond, laying on my back again, looking at the stars. I look at them, enjoying Newt's company next to me. As I feel my eyes getting heavier with every second. Then I close them, finally falling asleep.
I wake up in my hut. I start stretching, but I stop. Wasn't I outside? I look around confused. I remember stargazing with Newt. Then I just get up, thinking it was a dream.

,,Good morning." I greet my table with breakfast in my hands. I look at Newt's empty place. ,,Where's Newt?" I ask Alby.
,,He's still sleeping. It's really long time since he slept this long, so I want him to get some rest." he explains.
,,Oh." I say simply, sitting down, eating my food.

I'm on my way to check on the stung Glader. I enter the room. His veins are really visible, and purplish, maybe even greenish. I go closer to him, with bandages in my hand. That's when he starts screaming, kicking and punching the air around him. I rush to him, touching his shoulder slightly.
,,Hey, hey, shhh, it's okay, you are going to be okay." I tell him. His eyes snaps open, looking at me.
,,You!" he snarls. I look at him, confused. Then he tenses up, snaping his hand torwards me. Grabing my throat. I let go of the bandage I was holding. I grab his wrist, trying to push his hand away. He holds my throat hardly. I try to use my other hand, but he catches it before I can even touch his. I try to scream, but he chocking me is making it much much harder. ,,Why are you here?!" he screams at me. I let go of his hand, trying to punch him, but I can't. I just don't manage to hit him. I feel the darkness around me growing with the absence of oxygen. That's when I kick gim into ribs.
He lets go my throat. I start coughing, gasping for air. I back off quickly, holding my throat. He screams again, sitting up, and looking directly at me. I leave the room in rush, still coughing. I rest my back on the door, closing it. After while I stop coughing, still feeling like my throat is on fire.
,,You alright?" asks Jeff, when he stands over me.
,,Yeah.." I responde in raspy voice.
,,Holy- Show me your neck!" he comandes. I let go of my throat, showing him my red neck. ,,You were there?" he asks, pointing to the door.
,,Yeah, I-"
,,Shh, you can't talk right now." he says, not letting me finish. ,,I wanted to tell you, Newt's up, he was looking for you." I open my mouth to responde, but Jeff raises his hand, so I just nodd.

,,Hey!" says Newt as I enter empty kitchen. I just wave. ,,You okay?" he asks. I just nodd, trying to listen to Jeff's advices. ,,Are you not talking to me?" he asks. I frown, shaking my head in disagree, sitting next to him. ,,So why are you not talking?" he asks. I just raise and eyebrown. ,,Yeah, right, you can't tell me why you are not talking." I smile at him. He smiles back, but looks at me, trying to figure out, why I would stop talking. ,,Did something happend?" he asks slowly. I take a while, thinking about it. Then I nodd. ,,What?" he asks quickly. At this point I just give up.
,,The stung Glader tried to strangle me." I respond with my raspy voice.
,,What?!" he asks again. Then, before I can respond, he moves my head slightly up, looking at my red neck, before touching it gently. I back off the moment he touches my neck.
,,I'm sorry.." he says, with a glare fixed on my neck. ,,Does it hurt?" he asks.
,,No, not really. I kicked him of off myself." I say, feeling proud.
,,I'm sorry I wasn't there."
,,It's not your fault. How did you sleep?" I ask, trying to move the topic away.
,,Yeah, since the 1 am conversation, after you fell asleep." he laughs. I wanna laugh too, but it hurts.
,,Wait, so it wasn't dream?" I ask.
,,No, it was hundred percent real, if we didn't have the same dream." he says with smile.
,,How did I end up in-"
,,I carried you... I was also talking to you, then I realised you fell asleep, so I picked you up, and carried you to your hut." he explains,
,,Thanks." I answer, smiling.
