PARADIS YEAR 850
└───❀*̥˚───❀*̥˚┘You spent the majority of the trip tossing out the bag of blade clippings in order to create a trail for the scouts.
This was the only way for them to find your location in such as short amount of time-Anything else would draw too much attention.
When you had finally stopped to rest you tossed Ymir down on one of the large branches before leaning against one yourself.
You let out an exhausted sigh as you tilted your head back, "We should probably rest here for a while. It looks like you're barley hanging on as it is".
"She's right. Waiting for our bodies to heal is the best way to get back home", Reiner surprisingly agreed.
"What about Annie", Bertholdt spoke with a whisper causing you to still.
They still didn't know that you knew Annie had set you up, but their attitudes didn't give anything away as you watched them carefully.
At first you had passed the blame off on them-Believing that Annie was just following the orders that Reiner most likely gave her, but it didn't seem like they were acting any differently than normal.
If they were the masterminds behind that plan then it was fair to assume they figured the scouts would have found that dagger by now.
But even as you twirled it around your fingers neither of them reacted to it. Further proving that they had no ties to the plan of setting you up.
And as much as a weight was lifted off your shoulders it still hurt to know that Annie had turned on you out of her own volition.
She didn't need any order to be given to her in order to betray you, which brought on even more questions then before.
Why did she give me up? If it wasn't for Reiner and Bertholdt, then what?
"Its too late to go back and get her...I'm sure they'll reveal our identities at some point and then she'll be made aware of our departure", The blond muttered.
"What if they find out that she's one of us? They'll kill her for sure", Bertholdt cried out with worry.
Reiner shook his head at his friends words, "She's strong. She won't go down without a fight".
"At this point we just need to forget about her", You muttered roughly making them turn their attention to you.
"How could you-"
"She's right. We've got more important things to think about", Reiner nodded, "Like Ymir. She's the Jaw titan."
"I'm guessing you want to bring her back so Porco can eat her", You muttered boredly.
"Exactly, although its not going to be easy. She'll definitely put up a fight."
"I think she's similar to Eren in the sense that she doesn't have control over her abilities. I mean why else would she have gotten so torn up by those dumb titans in the first place", You called out, trying your best to play the part of 'Warrior'.
"Thats a good point. Eren's really the only one we have to worry about-But look at his injuries, there's no way he'll be strong enough to fight back".
"So now we just have to wait for you to recuperate", You muttered sending them a look.
"Yeah, that brat used your damn move on me during that fight-About took my head off", Reiner scoffed.
You held back a laugh before hearing some movement from beside you as you watched Ymir groan, "Where the hell am I", She muttered.
