Chapter Five-6 Foot Tall Gorilla

"Jess? Are you up?" I felt Lilly lightly shaking my shoulder.

"I am now"I groggily got up and rubbed my tired eyes.

"Who was the hot dude?"

"What hot dude?"

"You know what hot dude,the one who came to visit you last night"

"Oh Kyle! Yeah um..he's a friend"I nervously rubbed the back of my neck and got off the bed.

"A friend I didn't know about? Jess seriously spit it out,you never hide anything from me"A concerned look splashed across her face.

"He's just a friend" I avoided eye contact with her.The last thing I want was the news of Kyle traveling through out the pack.

"Is he with the mafia or something?"

"What? No! What made you think that?"

"Your outburst just proved that he's in the mafia! So how did you meet him?"

"Lilly for the last time he's not in the mafia!"

"Then why aren't you telling me the truth?"

"Because I cannot risk the news getting to my father!"

"You think I'll tell your dad? Babe I didn't tell your dad about the night when you got drunk,decided to get naked and talk to my stuffed bear about how much you wished you had Nutella!" She said slowly.

"Its much bigger than a stupid drunk night Lilly"

"Just tell me Jess"She got up and took my hands in hers.

"Lilly he-he's my mate"

Her eyes widened and she squealed loudly.I quickly hushed her up and sat down on the bed with my head in my hands.

"What's wrong? Why are you so upset? You should be glad you found him"

"I am glad Lilly but you know my father"

"The standard thing?"She frowned when I nodded.

"I don't know what he does for a living and I know if he isn't well to do then my father..."

"Jessica you know what your problem is? You always think negative when you land yourself into a situation.Maybe Kyle is a really rich and has a fancy house and with a pool and has a good job.All you have to do is think positive in the mean time,when you'll meet him today,you can sort out all of this stuff with him"

I thought for a moment before speaking "Lilly for the first time in your life,you've said something that makes sense"

She smirked before she realized what I had actually said "Wait a minute,you indirectly called me an idiot"

"I don't need to indirectly call you an idiot,everybody knows that you are one"

"You're rude"she crossed her arms.

""Glad you finally noticed now I'm gonna go shower and in the mean time,you can find something to change into"

She nodded and both of us went into my wardrobe.I pulled out some clothes and went to shower.

The cold water made goosebumps rise on my skin and I lightly touched them while getting lost in my own thoughts.

Kyle.He was so perfect but still was such an enigma.So caring yet still gave an aura of danger,Lilly's question squirmed its way into my mind once again.

Is he with the mafia?

Ofcourse not! But how could I be so sure? I knew nothing about him and when I had asked him about his work,why did he suddenly become so uncomfortable and secretive? What was he hiding? And it certainly had to be something big if he was hiding it from his mate.

He just needs to get comfortable with us. My wolf said.

"Yeah maybe you're right"

Mate or not,I was still a stranger to him and I would certainly not go off and tell my secrets.I guess I'm gonna have to be patient.

"Jessica!"Lilly kicked the door and started to scream.

I hurriedly got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my body.

The door flew open and my eyes widened in horror as I observed the situation in front of me,Lilly was beaten up badly and was standing with a man behind her.Tears started to pour out of her eyes but no sob escaped her lips.

I was ready to pounce on him when he smirked and showed me his knife.

I froze.

Silver.

That's why Lilly didn't fight back,he would stab her.She would die.

I tensed and kept my eyes on the knife as he started to lightly drag the knife from Lilly's neck all the way to her breast and slowly towards her stomach.

"She will die before you can even reach me"He whispered and kissed Lilly's cheek.

"Who are you?"

"You have recently met a man haven't you?"

A frown etched across my face "Kyle?"

He nodded "How do you know him?"

"We just met last night at the club and became friends"

"He visited you last night"

Fuck me.

"Yes he did"

He raised an eyebrow.

"I found him really cute and was immediately attracted to him so we became friends with...benefits"

"You two became friends with benefits?"He said slowly.

I nodded "Well you are gorgeous"His eyes raked up and down my body making me uncomfortable.

"Let go of my friend you creep,my father's downstairs ! Do you even know who he is?! Once he realizes what's happening,you're dead"

He pushed my friend towards me and she immediately started to cry in my arms.He smirked and walked out of the bathroom,moments later I heard him jump out of the window.

"Lilly are you okay?"Her crying ceased and she wiped away her tears.

"Yeah its not like I was hit by a 6 foot tall gorilla"

"Shit you're bleeding badly,sit down!"

After taking care of her injuries,I quickly dressed her up and told her that I would bring her breakfast in bed.

I rushed downstairs and straight towards the kitchen.

"Hey mum"I kissed her cheek and quickly told her that Lilly wasn't feeling well.Taking the tray from her hands,I ran upstairs and into my room and locked the door within a second.

"Why'd you lock the door?"

"Are you serious? I can't risk my family seeing you like this!"

"I told you!"

"Told me what?"

"That your mate is involved with the mafia! No wonder that loser came after us"

"Lilly?"

"Yes?"

"You're an idiot! Just shut up and eat"

She frowned but did as she was told.

Kyle and I were meeting today so everything would be sorted out.Trust or no trust,I'm gonna find out what's he's hiding even if its the last thing I do.

I finally updated! *Does a happy dance* sorry for the late update though! I've been undergoing ct scans and a whole lot of tests and plus I graduated high school a month ago :D
