"What the hell are you doing here?"I asked as I pushed him away from me.

"well your mate wanted me to look after you since he can't do it all the time"

"I think I'm old enough to look after myself aren't I?"

"Well you don't act like your age"He said while noisily chewing his bubblegum.

I glared at him."So you're just going to be staring at  me while I drink my ass off?"

"Yup"

I sighed."Would you mind telling me your name? Since we're going to be seeing each other a lot"

"Sure! You can call me Jake and you're Jessica I assume?"

"You assume? You've been stalking me non-stop and you don't even properly know my name?"I said while splashing cold water on my skin.

I turned the tap off and wiped the water off of my face with a tissue.

"Hey! I have nothing to do with you,I'm just doing what my best friend asked me to do"

"Well you could at least have the decency to properly know my name!"

"Alright so if I got your name wrong,what the hell is your name?!"

I stopped talking."Jessica"I whispered.

He gave me the look that a person gave to someone after they annoyed the living lights out of them."I got your name right and you still ranted for nothing?"

"Yeah...well...what if you didn't?"I mumbled

"Leave before I strangle you"

I left the bathroom hurriedly and walked towards Lilly.She glanced up at me from her phone and then looked me up and down.

"Are you alright?"She asked while placing her phone on the counter.

"Yeah why?"

"You look like you want to smack someone upside the head"

Oh how much I do.

"Leave it..."

"Okay grumpy pants,what's wrong?"

"I'm just stressed out.How am I gonna-"

"A glass of champagne please"A voice from behind me said.

I turned around and met emerald eyes.

Kyle slowly smirked at me before turning his attention back to the bartender.I turned back to Lilly with my heart beating faster than ever.

"That's your mate isn't he?"Lilly asked.

"What?! No! Ofcourse no--"

"Hey! I'm Lilly,Jess's best friend.You must be Kyle?"She brought her hand out for him to shake.

Kyle looked at me for a moment before slowly shaking her hand."It's nice to meet you.Jessica talks a lot about you"

"She does?"Kyle raised an eyebrow.

She nodded and then looked at me.I wished the ground would tear apart and sweep me into it.

"Uh...yeah"I said awkwardly.

"Here's your champagne sir"The bartender placed a glass infront of Kyle and then started wiping the counter with a white cloth.

Kyle picked up the glass and cleared it within a minute."It was nice meeting you Lilly.I'll see you soon"

He looked at me one last time before leaving.My wolf whined as our mate walked away without even looking back at us.

I looked down at my fingers and then left the bar,leaving behind Lilly who called my name multiple times.

I walked out slowly and wrapped my arms around myself.The sun was setting down and the sky was

slowly turning dark.I let out a deep breath and started to walk towards the woods.I decided to choose the longer path home since I would get more time to myself...and to my demons.

I had ruined everything.I shouldn't have told Lilly anything,I should have known that Kyle would react like this,he probably thinks that I told her about his occupation.How am I suppose to convince Kyle about meeting my dad? He would think that I told dad about him.

God knows I didn't.

I had to be careful from now on.Kyle wasn't a normal guy,I didn't have a normal mate.All my life I had wished that I wouldn't have to face any problems with my mate or my dad.Kyle certainly met dad's expectations but his profession would be a whole new problem.Will dad even let me be with him? knowing that anything could happen to us?

My life had taken a very unexpected turn.There would be consequences for my every action...our action.

I walked deeper into the woods.The sky had now completely turned dark.Everything was quiet,only the voice of the birds flying towards their homes,away from the predators lurking in the dark,could be heard.

I gingerly took out my phone and scrolled through the contacts.I called Kyle but it only led me towards the voice message.

"I'm sorry Kyle"I whispered and hung up.

Will he even forgive me after hearing the message?

My phone rang and my heart started to beat faster.

Kyle?

I looked at the screen hopefully.

Lilly?

I declined the call and headed towards my home.

I walked inside not knowing two guys were standing right behind me.
