Chapter Two-Emerald Eyes

"I'll see you later"I pecked Daniel on the cheek and started to make my way towards my house.I didn't bother to shift into my wolf.I wanted to be alone and in some strange way the woods always seemed to calm me down.They would always call out to me whenever I was sad or upset about anything.

I eventually reached my home and started to make my way towards my room.I paused when I felt his presence behind me.

"Jess"I heard my father's deep voice.I turned around to see him just in a pair of jeans.He must have taken a run because his bare chest was covered in sweat and his hair was shining in the sunlight.If a normal human girl would have seen him,she would have never believed that this man standing here was my father.Firstly because he looked too young and his 6 pack made him look even more younger and secondly we both never acted like we were father daughter.Our relation was very weird.One minute we would be best friends and then the next thing you know we're lashing out at each other like enemies and the only thing my mom would do was sigh and walk away.

I walked towards him and wrapped my arms around his waist.His arms immediately went around me as I breathed in his scent.I didn't care if he was covered in sweat or if I had to get ready to go out.All I wanted at the moment was a warm,welcoming hug from my old man.I closed my eyes as I heard the steady beat of his heart.

Another thing that would calm me down was his heartbeat.Whenever I would get stressed,I would walk into his room and hug him and he wouldn't push me away even if it was the middle of the night.It's funny because the main reason for my stress was he himself.

"Are you alright?"

I nodded but continued to hug him.He knew I was lying,I wouldn't hug him if everything was alright.But he decided not to push it and I was really grateful for it.

I backed away and stared at him.His eyes were penetrating mine like he was trying to uncover my thoughts.I had blocked everyone out including him.

"You shouldn't do that"He mumbled

"Do what?"

"Block me out.If I won't solve your problems who will?"

"I don't have any problems"

"You wouldn't hug me like that for 15 minutes for no reason"

"Hugging you doesn't mean that I have any sort of problem"I finally frowned.

"Would you just tell me what's wrong?"A scowl came across his beautiful face.

I sighed and wrapped my arms around him again."Nothings wrong dad,you have nothing to worry about"

He searched my face before finally closing his eyes and nodding."By the way I'm going out tonight"

"Let me guess,your friend forced you again?"

I laughed and nodded.He finally smiled and I returned it "Be safe ok?"

I nodded and kissed his cheek before finally jogging upstairs towards my room.I noticed I still had two hours to kill before the sky finally turned dark.I marched my way towards my bathroom and decided to shave and get squeaky clean as much as possible.

I was in the middle of shaving when I heard my phone ring.I sighed before grabbing the phone off of the counter and pressing the green button.

"It better be a good reason to call,I'm in the middle of shaving"

"Your shaving can wait,I'm bored talk to me"I heard Lilly say.I could imagine her laying on her stomach,flicking through the magazine waiting for the darkness to finally arrive.

"You aren't going to wait are you?"I said with a sigh.

"Nope"I could hear the smile on her face and my face lit up with one of my own."Alright we can talk but first let me put you on speaker"
