Chapter Eleven-The Truth

"I'm glad you're okay"Kyle said.

"I'm glad I'm okay too"I said with a small smile.

"When I heard you crash...I thought I had failed to protect the only thing I had worth living for"He let out a shaky breath.

My face lost it's smile."I'm sorry for putting you through that pain"

His eyes met mine."You're sorry? But it wasn't your fault"

I looked away from him and started to stir my coffee."I should have paid attention to the road.I shouldn't have been talking to you so recklessly"

He shook his head."I should have made sure that you reached home safe.I shouldn't have left like that"

"I went to meet Daniel,Kyle.It isn't your fault!"

His eyes snapped towards me.The coldness that washed over them was completely unexpected.Just at the mention of Daniel,his entire poster went rigid and his worried,loving aura was long gone.

"Daniel...how could I forget!"He chuckled as he looked out of the window.

We were originally going to meet outside the woods like before but Kyle insisted that we meet somewhere else so now we were at a diner.It was just a 15min drive from my home,right near the park.My friends and I used to come here whenever we got free time because they make absolutely the best ham burgers your tongue might have ever tasted.

"Look"I said as I set the cup down after taking a sip of my coffee."I don't know what problem you have with him but let me tell you one thing.He is like a brother to me and always has.He's been with me through rough and happy times,times when I felt everything was going wrong! I'm not going to stop meeting him just because your jealous!"

His face slowly turned until his eyes were meeting mine."You care more about him then your own mate?"He asked slowly.

"I never said that"

"But you did imply that"

"No you assumed that"I said calmly.

He ran a hand down his face and then glared at me."You consider him as a brother but does he consider you as his sister?"

I looked at him stupidly."What's that suppose to mean?"

"He has feelings for you"

I got up and grabbed my purse."Unbelievable! You're just..."

I left the diner and started to walk towards the park.I heard him running behind me,he grabbed my arm and turned me around.

"Hear me out first!"He said with a grim expression.

I nodded then motioned for him to walk with me.We started walking and once in a while,Kyle would look nervously at me.

"You were about to tell me something?"

We sit down beneath a tree and Kyle lightly entwines our hands."I'm not a normal werewolf Jessica,I don't have a normal job or a position in a pack like all of you do.I work for the DIO"

I look at him with wide eyes.

Dear Lord! I'm going to faint!

"DIO? Defence Intelligence Organisation? The one which works as a peace making organisation between packs?"

He nodded."As well as protecting the defenceless"

"Why didn't you tell me before? You didn't trust me?"I asked slightly hurt.

He sat up straight and then pulled to his chest."Ofcourse I trust you Jessica! I just didn't know how to tell you all of this"

"What does my accident have to do with you?"I asked quietly.
