PATCH UP

"Go change! I will make chai.. and no coffee for you too!! It's too much caffeine!!" Karan ordered Tejasswi.

She silently went into her room, took a shower  and changed into shorts and a t-shirt. When she came out she smelled eggs and toast, which made her emotional. Karan's back was facing her, she gathered all her courage and held him in a back hug. Karan left out a heavy breath.

He bent his head sideways and looked at her from the corner of his eyes.

"I am sorry!!" Tejasswi whispered.
Karan didn't say anything.

"Karannn!!! I am sorry! Please!! Talk to me!! Please!! I am sorry!" She started to sob.

"I know!" Karan said. "I know you are sorry!"

Finally she thought. "I didn't mean any of it!! Not a single word that I said Karan!!" She tried to explain.

"I know that too!" He said.

"Will you forgive me?" She asked, teary eyed.

"First finish this up, eat!! And then finish this milk as well! Koi chai nahi, koi coffee nahi, doodh hai thoda sa horlicks hai usme! Come on!" He said.

"I don't want to.." she just wanted to talk to him.

"Do you want me to leave?" He said, he sounded serious.
Tejasswi immediately shook her head in a no.

"Then pick up the food and eat!" He ordered again.
She quietly picked the plate and cup. She was so hungry she finished everything in less than 10 minutes.

"Now will you talk to me?" She questioned.

Karan picked his cup from the kitchen platform and sat on the chair, opposite Tejasswi.

"I am sorry Karan!! Please, don't leave me, I know I deserve it but please... Ek chance!" She said, tears rolled down on her cheeks.

"Come here!" Karan opened his arms and Tejasswi crashed into him.

"I know, you are sorry!! And I am never going to leave you! Why would you think like that?" He said.

"But you didn't call me once, not even a text! It's been 10 days!" She cried even more.

K-"You were in touch with Omi! I knew everything about you! I was just angry! What you said that day.... I have never expected you to say it!"

T- "I am sorry! There is no justification or explanation to why I said, what I said! I was wrong and I can't tell you how sorry I am right now...."

K- "I know, I know it all.. I know you are sorry and you know what... I am sorry too! I shouldn't have said that! I hated it when you call me your neighbour... You did that to taunt me!" He looked at her.

"No! No! I thought.... The air felt tensed between you two, so I thought I shouldn't give too much information...." Tejasswi said

"Hmmm... We are not really friends!" Karan said.

T- "But what I said... I crossed a line.."

K- "you did.... Why would you do that?" He wasn't angry anymore, but just wanted to know what happened to her that day.

T- "I was.. hurt.... I don't know why... I was so hurt... And I just wanted to take it out.... I wanted to tell you I was hurt.... I wanted you to... Understand... But... I messed up.."

K- "stop crying now!! 10 ghante se roye ja rahi hai bas!! Kya kar rahi hai... Ho gaya.."

T- "am I forgiven?"

K- "yes my love! Am I?"

T- "tumne toh kuch kia hi nahi tha!!"

K- " ek baat bata.... Is din kyun aayi thi set par? Kuch kam tha, ya sirf pyaar aa raha tha toh lunch le kar aayi thi?"
