"Jeonghan, get up." Wonwoo, Jeonghan's college housemate stood by the door of Jeonghan's bedroom.
Jeonghan heard him loud and clear, yet he continued to act that he was asleep. He was quietly hoping that Wonwoo would just go away and let him be for the rest of the afternoon, but a pillow strike his head.
"Get up."
Jeonghan felt the cool air hit his body. Wonwoo had taken the sheets off of him.
"I know you're awake."
Jeonghan slowly roused awake, groaning and squinting to make his acting more believable. "What?" He grumbled.
"Let's go out." Wonwoo had his blanket hanging over his shoulder. "It's summer. You'll be stuck here again once grad school starts."
"Do you like me that much?" Jeonghan grinned smugly. It was a question he always asked his peers whenever they forced him to step out.
Wonwoo rolled his eyes, snickering. "Shut up. Just get up." He playfully threw the blanket back on the bed with force before walking out of the room. "Be ready in 20."
Jeonghan looked at him in disbelief. Wonwoo didn't seem like he was going to stop and look back, but he did so anyways. "You know I'm a fucking sloth."
"Then, hurry up." Wonwoo waved, showing him the back of his hand.
Grumbling, Jeonghan slid off the bed and made the bed. It wasn't as neat as to how Wonwoo would make it whenever he did his monthly cleanings, but it was neat enough for Jeonghan. He was the one using the room anyways.
After which, he pulled open his closet, eyeing the shirts and jackets hung on one side and the folded jeans on the other. It was always a pain to choose because he wasn't like Wonwoo who would just pick up whatever he sees first on the pile. He would always try to make something out of whatever he had, and Dahyun would always—
Jeonghan shook his head, gritting his teeth.
No.
But his hands found their way to a black and white striped shirt. It was one of the shirts Dahyun stole from him a few years back.
"Are you done?"
Jeonghan flinched, his heart racing in his chest. "Seriously!" He threw a slipper at Wonwoo who was standing by the door.
"It hasn't even been five minutes!"
"I'm just checking." Wonwoo chuckled and made his way out the door again, closing it this time.
"The nerve..." He tsked, shaking his head, while he hung back that shirt in his closet.
Jeonghan shouldn't be thinking about her, but it's quite impossible when she's made her mark in his life already. Yet, it's been four years since they broke up.
Jeonghan quickly took out a different change of clothes and hurried inside the bathroom. If there was one thing he hated, it was people, specifically Wonwoo, pressuring him to move quicker. And the last thing he wanted was Wonwoo barging back inside the room.
With a towel laying on his head, he stood in front of his nightstand, already dressed in the black and white outfit he picked out.
There was never a day where he didn't wear his favorite jewelry — a silver ring and a necklace, and a white beaded bracelet Dahyun gave him long ago. But he always hid it under his sleeves.
He would always say that it was from a friend whenever someone who didn't particularly know about Dahyun asked about it.
And maybe Jeonghan was still really attached to whatever he and Dahyun had.
