Idol Undercover — Kim Mingyu (Requested)

Summary: Distance is nothing to Kim Dahyun when she hitches the next flight back to Korea to surprise her boyfriend, Mingyu, in his workplace.

"If I fly out tomorrow, I'll still be able to catch them practice..." Dahyun mumbled to herself as she slowly scrolled through her long list of schedules.

TWICE were still in the US completing their American promotions for their mini-album 'READY TO BE'. And just like any other day, they have just finished their last round of global group promotions and have retired back to their hotel rooms to energize and get ready for the next day.

Dahyun sat back on the lush seat in front of her vanity. She was wearing pink pajamas. She had her hair tied up and had a facemask on while she typed away on her phone.

"You're scheming."

Dahyun jumped in her seat. Jihyo was standing right behind her, bent over to peek at her phone.

"Unnie," she smiled, silent, baring her teeth in display. She was planning on taking the next flight tomorrow with a manager or two since they had nothing else to do. Although she could take the time to explore New York with Tzuyu on their day off, she wanted to surprise a certain someone back in Korea.

"It's nothing," she waved her off, hoping that she would shrug it off and turn in for the night. Dahyun genuinely forgot that Jihyo was her hotel roommate for this time around.

"I saw your lip trembling. You're lying," Jihyo snickered. "What are you planning? Tell me about it," she pulled out a chair and sat across her with her legs pulled up on her seat.

Jihyo was clearly invested in it; she wasn't going to budge until she heard what she wanted to know. Dahyun could only sigh softly to herself. These girls were persistent with the leader being at the top of the ambitious pyramid.

"Hmm..." Dahyun twiddled with her fingers. She must have looked odd with the face pack on her, but Jihyo nonetheless smiled at her warmly. "I want to go back home tomorrow."

"In advance?"

Dahyun nodded. They were scheduled to depart on the day after tomorrow.

"How come? Is it an emergency?" Jihyo sounded concerned. Dahyun could either ride on it and craft a whole scenario right then and there or tell the truth.

Of course, she told the truth, and it had Jihyo teasing her the entire time.

"Aw, you want to surprise Mingyu?" She gushed. She was definitely out to tell Nayeon and the others once they were through.

"I do," Dahyun hid herself further with her hair held crossed in front of her face. Her reaction reminded her of the time she talked about 'BRING IT BACK's meaning on their album commentary video.

It was certainly a pain to have Dispatch following her around the entire era and have dating allegations with Eunwoo resurface, but she got over it. No one else but her members and management knew about her relationship.

"You don't have any more schedules with Michael Kors?"

Dahyun shook her head, "I don't. I just finished the campaign shoot yesterday."

Jihyo nodded knowingly before promptly getting up from her seat. "I'm sure we can work things out. Do you need my help?"

Dahyun pressed her lips together in thought. She was nervously plucking on the fabric of her pants. "If it isn't a bother to you, unnie..."
