Doctor's POV:
After making and serving Kazran his breakfast, I went to look for Rose. I went on the library, and she wasn't there. Okay, I thought to myself. maybe she's in the theatre. I went to look for her there. She wasn't in there either. So, I decided to go see if she was with Jenny, since the two had become very close, so thought that she'd be in there. I arrived at Jenny's door and I knocked. She answered a moment later.
"Hey dad! What do you need?" She asked. I saw her frown fall in the middle of her second sentence. She must've sensed my distress.
"I'm looking for your mother. Is she in here?" I asked, peeking in her room. She frowned even bigger.
"I haven't seen her since last night when Kazran had his nightmare! Do you think she's all right?" Jenny asked, her face full of concern for her sort-of mother.
"I can't be sure at this point. She would've said good morning someone." I need to find my Rose. I thought to myself.
"I know dad. I know you need her. Go get Kazran, and I'll watch after him while you look for mum." She said to me. In my concern, I had forgotten to put up the barriers in my mind, so Jenny had overheard my speaking to myself. I didn't object to what she said.
"Alright. Well do that." I said, smiling at my daughter. She truly was brilliant. Just before she closed her door, I spun around and put my foot in it. She opened the door.
"What is it dad?" She asked me.
"Please don't tell Kazran why he's with you. I don't want him to worry, and I'm sorry I've worried you. Just, please don't tell him." I said to her, my eyes and voice begging her. She nodded her head.
"I understand dad. I won't tell him. You'll find her. You always do." She said this and then she hugged me. I hugged her back. I went to go get Kazran, and then I dropped him off in her room. He was fiddling with another gadget that he was making, so I spoke to Jenny.
"Well, I'll be off. I need to find her, before something bad happens to her." I started to walk off, but Jenny's voice stopped me.
"Dad?" She asked me. I turned around and looked at her.
"Yeah?"
"Aren't we all telepathic with one another? I mean, couldn't you just get ahold of her via telepathicness and ask her where she is?" After her question, I realized something was wrong; I couldn't hear her in my mind. I could still sense her, thank the universe, but I couldn't hear her. It was almost as if something, someone, was blocking it. I felt my face turn from just a concerned look to a look of horror and panic.
"Jenny, this is bad. Very bad."I began to run down the corridor to the console room. Panic was swelling in me, and I feared for my Rose.
THREE WEEKS LATER
It's been three weeks since I last saw Rose, and I hadn't heard a peep from her. Neither Jackie, Pete, or Tony had heard from her. I had contacted all of Rose's friends, co-workers, anyone who might have known her, and none of them had seen her. I was going back to the estate one day, and Mickey walked up in front of me.
"Hello Mickey. How's it going?" I asked him. I hadn't talked to him since before Rose went missing, so I was trying to be polite.
"I saw her." He said. All politeness left me as one thought echoed throughout my mind; She's alive.
"Who was she with? Did you see him? Was he forcing her to go with him? Mickey, answer me!!!" I spewed my words out like a water fountain.
"Doctor, shut up!!" He yelled at me. I quieted down immediately, eager to hear what he had to say.
"She went willingly. I don't know how, but the man who took her looked exactly like me. And he even sounded like me. I'm guessing he has my memories too because I heard them talking about some stupid thing we did in school. But he was taking her to the London Eye, and then he said he was going to take her to a surprise. She seemed exited about it too. I just hope she isn't hurt." Mickey explained all of this at a high speed, which I was thankful for. I wanted o hear any information about Rose as fast as possible.
"Thank you Mickey. But, why did t you tell me all this sooner?" I asked him. He knew I was wanting information about Rose and he held it back. I wanted to know why.
"You were so busy going about asking people if they knew where she was, I couldn't find you. And you never even asked me if I knew, so I had to look for you. You were running around like a kid at a candy store on sample day. Just when I was about to get you, you'd disappear into that blue box of yours and leave. I'm really sorry, but I couldn't find you." He was very guilty looking. He reminded me of a puppy that just got in trouble.
"It's okay Mickey. I understand. But I seriously need to go find Rose." I patted him on the arm before turning to go back to the TARDIS.
"Doctor?" Mickey said. I turned around to face him.
"What was that thing? I mean, it looked like me, but it's not. What is it?" He asked me.
"It's a Zygon, an alien that can take on the form of any living creature. It can also take its memories and sound like them. If it's taken on your form but hasn't put you into captivity, it must want you to tell me about it. That means it's a trap for me, but I don't care. As soon as I find where he took her, I'm going to go in there and get my Rose. Mickey, stay here and, don't do anything stupid. I need to go now. Thank you again Mickey, but I'm going now. Later." I said to him. I knew it was a trap, but I needed my Rose, and no power in the universes could stop me.
