Rose's POV:
I woke up without the Doctor beside me, which immediately sparked panic in me. I bolted out of bed. I saw that his coat, shoes, and tie were gone. That only left me with more panic. I left the room, and I felt everyone's consciousness in my head. I felt the Doctor's, and I called out to him in my head. I heard him in the console room.
"What do you need, Rose?" He chirped, bouncing around the TARDIS. I walked into the console room and grabbed his hand. He turned to look at me. I saw a soft confused look on his face, with a bit of fear behind them.
"Doctor, why do I detect some fear in your eyes?" I asked him. He walked off to another part of the TARDIS, leaving my hand cold. He didn't make eye contact with me what I spoke to him.
"Oh, no reason. Just got a lot to worry about." He's lying! I thought to myself, putting my barriers up ten-fold.
"Doctor." I said to him, putting a warning tone in my voice. He looked at me like a young child that just got caught with their hand in the cookie jar. In a way, he was.
"What?" He asked me. I walked over to him. I made him look me in the eye.
"I know you're lying." I said, just wanting the truth.
"How could you possibly know that?" He asked me, actually dumbfounded. I couldn't believe that he thought I wouldn't notice.
"Because I know you. Now, I want to know what you're up to." I said, grabbing both of his hands securely so that he didn't run off again.
"I'm going after the Master, and the Zygon that hurt you." He said, looking me dead in the eye with sincerity.
"Doctor why?" I asked him, getting afraid for him.
"Why? Because they hurt you, Rose! I can't let them run around, waiting to pounce on us again. They might kill you." He said, tears threatening to fall. One fell, and so did the other. More tears began racing down his face. I got one of my hands loose and wiped all of his tears away with my thumb.
"You're not going after them." I told him, trying to make it sound final.
"Rose, I have to. What if they go after the kids next time? They might not be able to handle what you did. What would we do without our kids?" He asked me, resting his forehead on mine.
"Fine. But I'm going with you." I told him.
"No. I'm going alone." He said to me, panic controlling his words.
"No you're not. You're taking me with you, or Jack. But I'm not letting you go alone." He looked like I had convinced him.
"Fine. I'll take Jack with me. He can't die." He began to ramble about how Jack was immortal, but I stopped him.
"I didn't even get to the good part yet Rose why are you stopping me?" He said, flailing his arms a bit too excitedly. I laughed at his enthusiasm.
"Because I already know." I said.
"How do you already know?"
"Remember that show? Doctor Who?" He looked at me confusedly.
"Yeah....?" His eyebrows furrowed.
"I played myself, I know my story line very well."
"Oh." He said, realization dawning on his face.
"I'm still going though Rose."
"Do you even know where they are?" I asked him, moving the monitor to look at it. He typed in coordinates that popped up on the monitor in Gallifreyan, which I read easily.
"1532, France." I said, looking at him for approval. He nodded. He then walked up behind me and hugged me from there.
"You're getting quite good at reading Gallifreyan, Rose."
"Well, I do have an excellent teacher." I said, my tongue poking out from between my teeth. I knew that I drove him wild whenever I did that. He spun me around rapidly and pressed his mouth to mine. I quickly responded and we were there for several moments, although it felt like it wasn't much time at all. I felt my respiratory bypass system kick in and decided it had been enough time. I pulled away and looked him in the eyes. His pupils were dilated and his lips were pinkish from all the kissing. I laughed.
"What's so funny?" He asked, doing his signature eyebrow-of-confusion-raise.
"Well, it's just that you're still so cute, even after all these years."
"Well, I do try my best!" He claimed. He then set the TARDIS into flight.
"NO!" I yelled at him, mentally asking the TARDIS to stop, which she did.
"Rose! I've got to do this!" He cried out, taking my hands in his. "Please." He said to me, all anger draining from his eyes. He was begging me, simply begging me.
"Fine. Just, don't get hurt, alright?" I told him as he set the TARDIS back into flight.
"I will do my best." He said, giving me a bone-crushing hug.
"No. Don't try, do. I don't want you getting hurt again. I've seen it happen too many times before, and I can't see it again. I don't want you to get hurt. I care about you. A lot." I say to him, convincing him completely. I pulled him down to give him a good proper snog. My hands were in his soft hair and his hands were placed tenderly on my hips. I pulled away, and he was smiling.
"Let's be sure to do more of that when I get back, yeah? We haven't been doing it often enough." He said, licking his lips before dashing about the console to take us to Torchwood where Jack would most likely be. The TARDIS landed and we both stepped out. Jack was running over and got right in front of us, panting.
"Doctor. Rose. What brings you two here again? I never thought that either of you would be back here, considering what happened last time you were." He said, still catching his breath.
"Yeah Jack, I need your help." The Doctor said, placing his hand on Jack's shoulder and leading him inside. The Doctor explained everything that had happened since we'd last seen him, and everything that he was about to do.
"Well Doc, we'd better get going then, right? We've got a lot to do." Jack sighed, sitting up and rubbing his knees in the process.
"Yes we do Jack. I'll set the coordinates." The Doctor said, dashing about the TARDIS. We all heard her land with a thud. The Doctor walked up to me and gently placed a hand on my check.
"Stay safe, Rose. Protect the children. I'll be back." He said before he lightly kissed me and dashed out of the doors.
"He's so damn stubborn." Jack said as he gave me a hug. He patted my back in sympathy and I patted his in return. He pulled away from the hit and began to follow the Doctor.
"Jack! Wait." I said, grabbing his bicep.
"What's up Rose?" He asked me, clearly itching to go kill someone in his own act of revenge for me.
"Please keep him safe. Even if you can't, just please promise me you'll do your best to keep him out of harms way." I begged.
"Of course I'll try to keep him safe Rosie! That's why you made him bring me, right?" He smiled. I let go of his arm.
"Thank you, Jack. Be as safe as possible." I told him as he closed the door. I then left to go be with my children as the man I loved was risking his life in my honor.
