Roses POV:

I had just finished cuddling with the Doctor, and finished crying.

"Rose?" The Doctor asked me, seeming especially sad.

"Yes?" I said, looking up at him.

"I need to see your rash, to see how progressed the disease is." He said to me. I nodded. We both sat up, and I lifted up the right side of my shirt.

"Oh Rose." The Doctor said, his voice breaking. He touched my side.

"What's wrong with it?" I asked him.

"Well" He said, wiping away a tear. "The skin is red and scaley. It flakes off, revealing the skin underneath it. It's bad, Rose. Judging by this, you only have a couple days left. My god Rose, I'm so sorry. This is the last thing I ever wanted to happen. I'm so, so sorry." Said the Doctor, tears welling up in his eyes. I grabbed his hand.

"We better go tell Kazran. Let's go tell Nico first."I said to him, starting to stand up. He sniffled.

"Yeah. Let's go." I noticed that he didn't say allons-y. He never says that when he's sad or angered. We walked hand in hand to Nico's room. I knocked. He opened the door a moment later.

"What do you want?" He asked us in a sour tone.

"we need to talk." The Doctor said to him.

"Fine.Come on in." He said. We walked into his cave-like room. Everything was black, the bed, the walls, the ceiling, floor, the dresser. The kid must have liked black. The Doctor and I sat down on a two-person chair that the TARDIS placed for us. Nico dat down on his bed.

"What's up?" He asked, being casual.

"Well Nico, I have a deadly disease and I'm going to die from it." I stated to him.

"Oh. I'm sorry." He said, looking away. Then he looked at the Doctor. "I know how you feel. A guy I liked, Percy Jackson, he got cancer. He died from it. The cancer that was made of him, stopped his heart, which was also made of him. Point is, life's unfair. I'm sorry for you guys." He said to us.

"Well Nico, here's the deal. I need you to do me a favor when I die." I said to him, leaning forward.

"What's the favor?" He asked.

"I need you to befriend Kazran. I know you don't like him, and I know he's a lot younger than you. But please, try." I begged him.

"Actually, you're wrong. I don't mind the little runt. Yes, he's a lot younger than me, but I don't give a damn. I like the kid. I'll give him my best shot." Nico said to me. I breathed a sigh of relief. I got up and walked over to Nico. I hugged him.

"Thank you, Nico. You've no idea how much it means to me." I said to him, still hugging him. He made a noise of unsatisfaction, so I quit hugging him.

"Yeah, sure. No problem." He said.

"Thank you so much, Nico. We best go tell Kazran now." The Doctor said to Nico. He nodded.

"Go." He said to us. We got up and left. Almost as soon as the Doctor got up, the couch vanished. I couldn't help but be a bit happy on the inside. At least my son would have two friends instead of just one. We were walking over to Kazrans room when I felt a sharp pain inside my chest on the right side up high.

"Owwwwww!!" I cry out in pain, nearly falling on the floor. Luckily, the Doctor caught me. He had begun to hold me in his arms, rocking me back and forth.

"What happened?" He asked me.

"I think my right heart just stopped." I replied to him. I felt him nod. He held me for several minutes.
