Hi guys sorry for the hiatus. (I'm almost as bad as the writers of DW) But yeah I actually am really sorry. I have been on wattpad but I've been doing some reading bc I needed to catch up on it, and then when I'm not on wattpad I'm either sleeping or doing school. My school has only about a month of classes left and I have to get my grades up before then. So I've been working pretty hard on that. Yeah I'm sorry. Oh and by the way, shoutout to my new followers you guys are awesome! And also guys please leave some comments I've been getting less of those :(
Please enjoy!

Rose's POV:

I laid the Doctor down on the bed in the med bay as gently as I could, but it still hurt him. I heard him painfully groan, and his fists balled up. He was on his stomach.

"Doctor?" I asked.

"Yes love?" He replied in a pained voice.

"I'm gonna have to clean your back with some water before I sterilize it, and that's gonna really hurt. I'm sorry but your back is gonna get even more infected if I don't." I said, gently running my fingers through his dirty, greasy hair. I felt him nod. I quickly grabbed a wash cloth and wet it with warm water and got the dirt off his back. He didn't move at all when I did that. But when I sterilized his wounds, he squirmed a lot.

"Doctor I'm so sorry you have to go through more pain. I'm so sorry." I said as I rubbed my thumb over his hand.

"It's okay." I heard him croak as he squeezed my hand. So I finished cleaning his wounds, and then I left while he took a warm shower. He called me back telepathically when he was done. He was wearing sweat clothes and was barefoot instead of his usual pinstripes with converse, but his hair back to its anti-gravity position. He moved stiffly because of his back, but other than that he was nearly back to normal.

"Your turn. You may not have been hurt as bad as me, thank the universe, but you still need tending to. I saw a few cuts here and there." He said, grabbing the rubbing alcohol for sterilization, and some bandages to wrap around the hurt places.

"I suppose there's no stopping you?" I said to him.

"Not a chance." He replied. He smiled at me, and then dashed at me to give me a hug.

"Oh, it feels so good to do this again." He murmured into my hair. I nodded. He pulled away from the hug, making me frown in disapproval.

"Oh come now, once you're all patched up and you've had a shower to feel better, we'll go cuddle up on the couch in the library. How's that sound?" He questioned.

"That sounds brilliant." I said through a smile. He quickly patched me up, and hen I went to go take a shower. The warm water felt so good on my skin, I nearly screamed. Once I was out of the shower, I dressed in a hoodie and fuzzy pajama pants. I went to the library to see the Doctor in the same clothes; hoodie with fuzzy pajama pants. He was moving around ever so carefully, most likely trying to get into a position that didn't hurt his back a lot. He moved wrong and I heard him let out a sharp little scream, muffled by his closed mouth. I rushed over to him.

"Doctor are you alright?" I asked him, grabbing a hand and rubbing it.

"Yeah I'm fine. I just moved wrong and it hurt my back. Come here." He said, opening his arms. I laid down with my back to his stomach, and his left arm underneath my neck. His right arm momentarily found itself over my side.

"It feels so good to hold you again, Rose." He said, his breath tickling my neck and making me shiver.

"Are you cold?" He immediately inquired after feeling me shiver.

"Come to think of it, I think I am a little." I then felt him rubbing his arm over my side, trying to warm it up using friction.

"Hold on, I'm going to increase my body heat for you." He said. Moments later, I felt my back become warm, and then that warmth spread to me front, and even my feet.

"Is that better, love?" I heard his sweet, sweet voice ask me. I rolled over so that I was able to look him in the eye.

"Much better." I said, giving him a small peck on the lips.

"Oh, come on now. I'll give you a real kiss." He said, dipping his head down to kiss me deeply. Passionate and full of hunger, but still soft as the dew on the blade of new grass. He released me from the kiss, and I whimpered from the loss of contact with him. I felt his body heat go down, and I started shivering again. Then, I felt a nice big warm blanket over me, which the TARDIS must have put there for us both.

"Thank you, old girl." I heard the Doctor mutter. I rested my cheek on his chest and put my left arm over his side, and my other hand I sprawled across his chest.

"Doctor, I have a question for you." I said, playing with his hoodie string. I heard him hum.

"What's that, love?" He said, rubbing my head and attempting to tuck in a stray piece of hair.

"At our wedding, why wasn't Sarah Jane there? I thought you would've wanted her to be there." I looked at him to see a pained look quickly spread across his face, and then I looked into his eyes, and they looked like I had just brought up the most painful memory that he had.

"Well, I did invite her, but I didn't tell you because I wanted it to be a surprise for you. But when she went to the place I told her to meet me at, she was hit by a car. I went back in time and I kept changing where she was supposed to meet me, but some way or another she always got killed. So, I went back one final time and I made sure the letter I left for her telling of our wedding never got to her hands, but she still died. I concentrated hard and then I saw that her death was a fixed point in time, and that there was nothing I could do to alter it." I felt a few tears fall onto my head, so I quickly wiped the tears off that were on his face.

"It's okay Doctor, it's okay. And I'm sorry I didn't know. But why didn't you tell me?" I asked him, wiping more tears from his face.

"I knew that you'd be very upset about it, and I figured 'It's our wedding day. She should be happy on a day like this.' And so I thought it best not to tell you at the time, and then I couldn't bring myself to tell you." By then, he was fully in tears and almost sobbing. I rubbed his cheek to soothe him.

"Doctor, it's okay. Her time was up, I suppose. Everyone has their time and some people go over due. I'm sure she's in a really great place, alright?" I said, moving his face and looking into his eyes. He blinked and a few more tears made their way out of his eyes, and I quickly wiped them away. He nodded.

"Thank you, Rose. You always know what to say to make everything hurt less. Thank you so much." I smiled.

"You're welcome, Doctor. I'm always her for you." I said, wrapping my arm around him in a two-sided hug-cuddle.

"Rose?" He asked, tickling my neck with his breath.

"Yes?" I inquired.

"I love you, you know that? I do not say it enough and I hate myself for it but Rose you are amazing and beautiful and I love you so, so much. More than you can imagine. I love you." He said without taking a single breath. I giggled.

"I love you too, Doctor." After I finished saying that, he dipped his head down to give me a firm, passionate, but still soft snog on the mouth. He pulled away just as I was finding it difficult to breathe. We didn't say a word, but fell asleep under the protection of the TARDIS, the blanket, and the loving arms of each other.
