Willow had ended up staying at John B's anyways, mainly due to Kiara staying there for the night. There hadn't been any excuse for her not to at that point. JJ spent the rest of the night ignoring her, but she understood. They were both in their feelings about all of what they said, or that JJ thought Willow would be that stupid to break him again. She felt like there was resentment again, which made her feel terrible. She even felt like shit because she told JJ that Big John was dead, but she only said it cause she was angry. Luckily, it had been JJ and not John B, or she probably wouldn't hear the last of it from any of them.
Kiara had spent the night talking to her and asking about what was wrong with the two of them, which didn't bother Willow. She knew Kie was only looking out for them and wanted the best for the whole group. Kiara and Pope were the glue to the group; they kept everyone together and in line. Without the two of them, the rest of them would probably be tangled up in a lot of crazy shit. At least, that's what Pope and Kiara believed.
Fortunately for them, Pope had been by their sides since they were a bit younger. It used to just be John B, JJ, and Willow. They'd go fishing with Big John, or they would get into some serious trouble; which was usually always because of JJ's brilliant plans. They were the original pogues. Yet for some reason, it almost doesn't seem natural to think that Pope and Kiara were never part of the group. They were good together; all of them. They would always find themselves doing something crazy, or fun; like now.
It was the following morning, the group was gathered up to test out the ROV drone. Kiara and John B were swimming underwater, staring straight into the camera while Pope and JJ were watching them on the camera. Pope was also trying to figure out how to use it and he was also trying to keep JJ from messing with it. After Kiara and John B had come up from under water and climbed up the ladder on the docks, Willow came walking up to them.
"Well, look who made it.", Kiara smiled towards her, quickly frowning when Willow had blatantly ignored her. "Okay, so someone's in a mood. You good?"
"No.", She dropped her bag on the docks, climbing up on the railing to sit while the boys tried to put the drone away. She finally looked towards Kiara and noticed the hurt on her expression. "Sorry, Kie. Just... I got fired."
"What?", She furrowed her eyebrows, coming up towards her to sit beside her. "How?"
"Apparently, voicing your concerns to a manager gets you fired.", She spoke sarcastically, which made Kiara chuckle. "All I wanted to tell her was that she was not being fair to me when it comes to the way she treats all of us. I've been working there since I was fifteen, which isn't that long compared to the older ladies there... but I have always given my all."
"So, how'd she treat you then?", She asked as the boys came walking up, the drone and all in their hands.
"She got mad at me for stocking the products that she had assigned someone else because I wasn't getting my stock in.", Willow scoffed, glancing over to the boys to notice they were looking at her in confusion. "My boss fired me because I told her that if she wanted to keep me there, then I needed to be treated like I belong there. She didn't like that."
