While JJ was inside of his house, the two girls waited patiently for him to come back. Or at least Kiara waited patiently. Willow was an impatient wreck as she bounced her legs up and down, not taking her eyes off of the door he walked into. Kiara closed her eyes, not being able to stand watching Willow fidget. When she began tapping her fingers on the side of the door, Kiara looked at her. "He's fine, Lo."
"I don't care.", She shook her head, eyes still staying glued to the door. Willow had rolled down the window of the car once they got there, wanting to actually keep her promise to JJ when she said that she'd go in just because of one loud noise.
"There's a joint in the glove box.", Kiara spoke.
"I don't want it.", Willow answered.
"Wow, that's a first.", Kiara raised her eyebrows in amusement.
"It's been too long.", Willow groaned, leaning her head back against the headrest.
"It's been five minutes.", Kiara replied.
"Which is five minutes too long.", Willow took her seatbelt off, looking back towards the door. "I'm going in."
"No.", Kiara shook her head, holding the blonde girls' arm to keep her in place.
"Kie, stop.", Willow pulled her arm away roughly, hearing the door of the house open. She quickly looked to see JJ coming out with his head down, bringing her heart to ache at the sight. Once he was close enough to the car, she poked her head out of the window as he stood outside the passenger side looking down at her. "You okay?"
"Yeah.", He nodded, holding up the keys to the Phantom. "Got them."
"Good job.", She gave him a soft smile as he got into the back seat of the car. She buckled herself back up, glancing over at Kiara who had a look on her face. "Shut up, Kie."
"Worried over nothing.", She turned the car on.
"What?", JJ asked from the back seat.
"She was about to go in after you.", Kiara answered, driving out of JJ's driveway.
"It had been five minutes. It should've been a two-minute job.", Willow defended herself.
"And what would you have done if there was an issue?", JJ asked seriously, watching as she turned her head over her shoulder to look at him. She saw no sign of him being in a joking mood, but it was an actual question he seemed to be serious over.
"Anything.", She shrugged. "I mean you're talking to a girl who hit her own mother in the head with a lamp. In a situation like that, anything is good to use. Hell... I'd throw a fucking boot if I had to."
"A boot?", Kiara furrowed her eyebrows as she asked.
"Yes, a fucking boot.", Willow looked back at the girl, then quickly locked eyes with JJ. "The night of the movie. I told you we look out for each other when you said it's your job to look out for us. You deserve to be looked after as well. It's not a one way street, Jay."
