The trio began to battle against the ghosts while you simply watched as it progressed. You would occasionally tell Grim where he should hit, and he'd quickly follow your order. Minutes had passed before they fully defeated the ghosts.

"Oi, Headmaster! Talking about blot and fighting ghost have nothing to do with each other!" Grim complained as he placed his paws onto his waist.

Crowley however, was extremely calm. "Grim, take a look at the magic crystal around your neck."

He did what he said, looking at the magic crystal that now had smudges of blot on it. Grim became quite startled upon seeing the black blot.

"There are some weird blotches on my crystal!" The monster started to try and wipe them off, to no avail. "I can't wipe them off!"

The man crossed his arms, staring at the group.

"There should be black smudges that look like drips of ink on the crystal," Crowley added. "Those are the blots created from using magic."

Deuce brought his magical pen towards his face to peer at the crystal. His eyes also widening in surprise when he saw that the Headmaster was right. "There's also small smudges on my magical pen as well!"

Grim made a look of disgust. "It's so dirty!"

"Is there a way for it to go back to normal?" You ask Crowley, waiting for him to answer.

To your relief, the Headmaster nodded. "Yes, there is."

"I'm so glad!" Grim cried out in relief.

"With enough rest, the blots will vanish in a matter of time." Crowley added. "Magical crystals don't only help with performing spells, but they also prevent blots from accumulating
directly in the caster."

"They are truly a wonderful item that can shoulder your burdens!"

"I see. So, if our crystal starts to darken, we need to properly rest."

"That's right. Eat well, sleep well and normal blots will disappear on their own."

"How about that!" Grim grinned.

"Then when I become the greatest wizard ever, I can fire off spells like," the monster began to make gestures abd noises of magic while he explained. "With no problem! I always eat my fill and sleep like a rock!"

Crowley ignored Grim completely and began to elaborate. "The amount of mana a person has caries from person to person, but aside from very special cases, the difference doesn't really affect the maximum blot a person can tolerate."

"What does that mean?"

"That means that people like Rosehearts, who have a lot of mana have to be exceedingly careful about how much blot they are accumulating."

You nodded in understanding at that as Ace spoke up.

"If you aren't paying attention and just keep using a bunch of magic, your gonna get covered in blot."

"Well, with the amount of mana all of you possess, I don't think there's any danger of that."

"Isn't that great!" Crowley said with an irritating, childish tone.

Ace frowned. "That tone of yours doesn't bring me joy! At all!"

Grim hummed, thinking of everything about blot. "If you use to much magic and your crystal becomes completely black, you'll go into a evil berserk mode like Riddle?"

A shiver had then gone down his spine as he remembered that. "That huge evil thing was super scary.."

"The amount of blot a person accumulates if greatly influenced by their mental state."
