"Okay Cater, is there something you don't want to talk about in front of Trey?"

You all had gone to the lounge after leaving Trey's room. So you took a seat on the couch with Grim. While Ace and Deuce sat on you left.

You hadn't noticed when you first entered, but the lounge was rather beautiful. The floor was black and white checkered along with a heart shaped fireplace, with a clock above it. There was also a fairly large mirror and a coffee table. The walls being covered in crimson and gold designs.

Seeing the inside of the Heartslabyul Dorm made you realize that you'd probably have to work a little harder if you were ever going to fix your own dorm.

Cater seemed stunned for a moment before he began to smile. "As expected of Riddle, you catch on quick."

The ginger had then turned towards you. "(Y/n), do you know anything about how Trey got hurt?"

You and Grim glanced at each other before you went on to explain the task the Headmaster had assigned you two to solve. Starting from how suspicious the accidents had been to the large amount of accidents there were.

Riddle nodded in understanding, "I see, so that's what the Headmaster thinks.."

"Thought so. You guys didn't come here to just wish Trey well."

"Actually, I thought something strange was going on, so I had Cater gather information."

"It was so obvious pretty quick that all the people getting injured were starting candidates for their teams like Riddle and Trey," Cater voiced out.

"At the time, I didn't trip over anything or feel someone push me from behind." Riddle revealed.
"But.. How should I put this, it felt like my body moved on it's own."

You narrowed your eyes, your suspicions being proven right. There was a really big possibility that someone could have controlled their bodies. Though, you couldn't exactly jump to conclusions yet.

"Everyone else was saying something like that!" Grim announced, remembering the other victims you two had interviewed.

"I think it's safe to say that someone's intentionally targeting magift candidates," Cater assumed, typing away at his phone.

"They're targeting their rivals to up their standing in the magical shift tournament?" Ace asked suddenly, leaning his elbow against the arm of the couch.

"The whole world will be watching." Riddle commented. "One's performance in their matches can lead to a career in the future. It's not strange that some will do whatever it takes."

Cater pondered for a moment. "Still, it's weird. You didn't feel any wind magic coming from behind you, right?"

"Yeah. It didn't feel like an attack."

"There were some who were injured during class. I really wonder what's going on.." Cater trailed off, deep in thought.

"We will just have to have the culprit spill everything when we catch them. To that end, I will assist you  in the search." The redhead declared.

"Huh? You're going to help? What's your angle? Especially you, Cater!" Grim rudely inquired.

"You're too mean. This is what you do when your fellow residents are targeted." Cater pouted at the monster.

"If that's the case, we'll help out too!" Ace chimed in.

"We gotta get payback for Clover-senpai!" Deuce declared, clenching his fist.

"You guys are all fired up." Riddle raised an eyebrow, confused.

Cater then understood why exactly they were so fired up as he snapped his fingers. "I got it. You guys are after those open spots on the team?"
