It was about sundown when you had finally returned to the dorm. Deciding you may as well try to clean up some of the dorm to kill time.

And thanks to the ghost, you were able to get wood and a tool box filled with the various tools you needed.
Although, you couldn't help, but wonder where exactly they got them. It was probably best not to ask, you thought.

With trial and error, you were able to manage to fix the once broken rocking chair and cabinet with the help and tips of the ghost.

After, you had started on the coffee table, while Grim was doing homework. You would sometimes stop from time to time to try and help him.

Sighing, Grim began to mumble as he stopped writing. "I don't wanna do this...All I want is to play Magift.."

"You're still not over that?" You ask, not taking your eyes off of the coffee table.

You took in a deep breath before picking it up to carry it back to it's original place with all the strength you had.

"Hey boss man! Need a hand? Hee hee." The three ghost had appeared out of nowhere with a snicker. You smile gratefully at them.

"Could you carry the rocking chair back into the lounge?" You ask. The ghost nodded before going to pick up the rocking chair effortlessly.

You slouched back on the couch after setting the table down. Soon remembering you had left some of tbe clothes outside to dry as you quickly got up to go get them.

The plump ghost had noticed Grim's mood and grinned along with the other's.

"What's up Grim-y boy? What's got your fur in a bunch?" The small one teased.

"He's pouting because they won't let him play in the magical shift tournament. Hee hee hee!" The plump ghost snickered.

"If you wanna play that bad, we'll play against you." The skinny ghost stuck out his chest. "We were the players that drove the crowd wild 90 year's ago."

Grim merely crossed his arms with narrowed eyes. "You do know we need a team of seven, right?"

The ghost shook their heads. "It doesn't matter since its not an official match! Come on, let's go!" The plump ghost announced while the skinny ghost brought out a frisbee.

When you were about to enter, carrying the clothes and such, Grim and the ghost quickly went past you. You became confused on where exactly they were going now, since Grim hadn't even finished the homework.

"I guess he can just finish it later before bedtime," you sigh aloud. "I wonder what they are going to do anyway?"

You shake your head and quickly go back inside to place the clothes on the coffee table for now, deciding to fold them later.

~Time Skip~

Minutes passed as the game had already started, you sat at the small hill near them, holding the ghost camera. You began taking a few pictures of them as they played. Occasionally, chuckling at Grim getting blocked by the ghost.

"Hello everyone. Are you playing Magical Shift?" You jumped in surprise at the Headmaster's sudden arrival.

Grim on the other hand, frowned when he saw him. "Geh. It's the guy that always brings down the mood."

"I see you're getting along well with the dorm ghosts. How splendid." He nodded, seeming quite pleased with the information.

Grim hissed in annoyance. "We're not getting along! Whaddya want?"

"I have a request to make of you. It's not a simple chat so let's go inside." Your stomach dropped upon hearing that, knowing this most likely wasn't anything good.

~time skip~

"What's this request about? We aren't your handyman anymore, y'know?" Grim complained.

You all had settled down at the lounge. You began folding the clothes on the coffee table as the Headmaster started talking.

"Oh yeah? I don't remember saying anything about your room and dorm being free of charge?" The man turned his gaze towards your direction.

"Labor is a beautiful thing, right? Grim, (Y/n)." Crowley began with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.

You sigh, looking at him. "Quite tiring though. I guess we can't turn down this request.."

Seeing you understood the situation at hand, the Headmaster smiled and cleared his throat.

"Then I will get straight to the point." His whole demeanor seemed to change.

"Recently, there have been an increasing number of students injured in suspicious accidents." He added. "I'd like to have you investigate them."

"Injuries?" Grim questioned.

"Accidents?" You wondered aloud, wondering what he meant by that.

Crowley nodded. "Tripping down the stairs, burned by boiling water.."

You winced slightly as he began to list down the accidents. It certainly was strange that all these things were occurring around the same time.

"The causes very, but in the past several days the number of patients in the infirmary has dramatically increased."

"Including the person who fell down the stairs yesterday, that makes ten people injured," The Headmaster's shoulders the dropped, his tone laced with worry. "I'm glad none of the injuries have been severe, but.."

"Aren't they all just clumsy?" Grim immediately assumed.

"The whole school is giddy for the approaching magical shift, that's true." Crowley explained. "Even still, there's to many people getting hurt if you look at past years."

"On top of that, those injured in these accidents were all in the running to be starting members for their dorm's team."

"Huh?" Grim tilted his head.

"It sounds a lot like foul play.." You comment with a frown.

"Very nice deduction, but there's no evidence to prove that it was foul play." He went on to explain. "All the victims were injured in places with plenty of other people around them. Nevertheless, all bystanders had this to say: they looked like they weren't paying attention."

"Sounds like they all just screwed up. There problem solved." Grim simply said.  Your frown deepens at that.

"That isn't the point though Grim.."

"My, my Grim. That's quite irresponsible for you." The Headmaster shook his head in disappointment.

"It has nothing to do with me. I still can't join Magift. Doesn't matter to me what happens to the tournament." Grim said, uninterested.

Crowley rubbed his chin in thought. "Is that so.. I'd thought to give you a tremendous reward for your help, but.."

Grim huffed and turned away. "That's not gonna work this time!"

You felt a little proud of the monster for not easily falling for the bribe like he normally would.

"You'd need at least 100 cans of tuna to buy my help," Grim had quickly added. Well, never mind..

"Then how does this sound? You could join the tournament as a player.."

"Eh?!"

Of course, you thought with a sigh.. The Headmaster always has a false promise every time.
