Chapter 24: Telling

After the whole, 'cat and dog' chase with Tam and Keefe, Sophie told her friends how she was having a diffcult time trying to tell Grady and Edaline that she and Keefe were dating. 

"I feel you. When I told my parents, I was all stuttering and fidgety but when they responded with happy faces, I realized it wasn't that bad after all," Biana told them, then facing Tam and smiled at him. Tam smiled back, happy to know Biana's parents approved their relationship.

"THAT'S IF YOU DON'T HAVE A PARENT WHO PRACTICALLY HATES YOUR BOYFRIEND!" Sophie shrieked, ruining the moment Biana and Tam were having. 

"Whoa there, Foster. Slow down, you don't know for sure if Grady actually HATES me," Keefe assured. Then, his voice turned darker as he said, "But he might still....."

Biana rolled her eyes at the couple who were dramatically shivering. "You know what? If you people are not going to tell him, I'll do it," she offered, and headed for the Leapmaster. Sophie and Keefe ran after her and managed to stop her before she had a chance. 

"Bangs Boy! Could you at least help us here? She's your girlfriend!" Keefe complained.

"Yeah, she is. And that's her thing. I can't possibly be interrupting her, can I? That would make me a horrible boyfriend," Tam torted back, making Keefe speechless. When did he become this annoying? Oh right, since forever. 

Tam smirked as Keefe stared at him, frozen with shocked at the words he just threw at him. Then he added, "But you don't have to worry, Grady already knows." 

The room suddenly fell silent. Sophie stared at Tam as if she heard someone say her worst secret of all time. 

"He DOES?!" she exclaimed. 

Before Tam could respond, Sophie grabbed Keefe's hand and ran to the Leapmaster while shouting, "Havenfield!" 

And just like that, they were gone. 

The rest of them just stood there, shocked at everything that flashed before their eyes. Biana stared at her boyfriend, who had a calm expression on face. 

"Tam! Why did you do that?!" Linh spoke for Biana. 

Tam faced the both of them calmly and smiled. "Oh don't worry, it'll be fine. Trust me," he assured. Biana just blinked multiple times, soaking everything Tam had just said in. 

"Anyway," Tam said, "do you guys want to see the drama or not? Come on!" He grabbed Biana's hand and jumped into the light after shouting "Havenfield!". The rest followed in suit and all of them arrived at the moment where Sophie was standing face to face with her parents, with her hand in Keefe's.
