The next day onwards, Sophie started observing secretly at Keefe's reactions. When she was laughing, she'd make sure she was able to see Keefe from the corner of her eyes. Sure enough, he was looking, and smiling softly, which made Sophie's traitorous heart flutter. Besides Sophie, the other three girls have too been observing their crushes.

Every night, they would tell each other their observations and giggle about it. (They had to stay at the Vackers for a few days because that morning, there was an urgent message from Grady saying all the adults would be busy with something that who-knows-what it is. So, in the meantime, they kids had to stay at the Vackers since they were already there.)

The boys didn't suspect a thing....or so they thought. Would secretly listening to th girls conversation just outside of their room considered as spying?

"Shh! Don't make a sound! Or else they'll come out and check!" Tam hissed at the boys as they crept slowly towards the girls door.

Suddenly, the door burst open and the boys jumped and ran to hide behind the wall near the stairway. They peek out from behind the wall to see who came out, nearly toppling over each other while doing so. It was Biana. She was facing the girls and holding the back of her neck while placing her other hand on her hip. She was rolling her eyes about something before Sophie came out.

Both of them were wearing their nightwear, which, was casual and not to fancy. Still, their cute looks made Tam and Keefe blush hard. They couldn't tear their eyes away from the girls. After a while, the two girls started walking. Towards the boys!

"Shoot! They're heading this way. Quick! Fitx and Dex, run to the room, Keefe and I will pretend to be talking. Now go!" Tam whisper-instructed. He signalled for Dex and Fitz to run when the girls weren't looking. The both of them then sprinted down the hall quickly but quietly and shut the door behind them.

"Okay, now act casual," Tam told Keefe, who nodded and the two of them began the moment Sophie and Biana turned the corner.

"Oh! Hi guys. What are you doing here?" Sophie asked.

The boys pretended to be surprised and jumped in sync. "Oh, we were just talking." Tam replied.

"You two? Talking?" Biana questioned, raising an eyebrow, suspicion showing all over her face.

"Of course! If a man's got a problem they've got to talk right?" Keefe jumped in, grabbing Tam's shoulder and smiling innocently, which forced Tam to smile too. The girls's eyes lingered on the boys before looking at each other and looking back. Then they shrugged.

"Hm. I guess you're right. It's nice seeing you two finally getting along," Sophie complimented, smiling. The boys nodded their heads enthusiastically.

Before they left, Keefe asked, "Where are you going then?"

"Something to drink," Biana answers and the both of them head down the stairs. As soon as their gone, Tam and Keefe heaved a sigh of relief. Tam grinned at Keefe and said, "That was close! Good thing you were there."

Keefe smirked his trademark smirk. "Well, duh! Sophie would obviously fall for my charm and THEN her bestie would have to agree with her."

Tam rolled his eyes. The both of them headed for their room and told Dex and Fitz everything. Their story ended with everyone laughing and promising themselves to not do that again. (I didn't say 'never')

"Wow. That was one crazy night this was!" Keefe exclaimed, and the boys agreed.

Boys 😏. That's all I have to say.
