Alex's short travel on the ship was over, it was faster than she had expected. So now she was looking around while deciding on what to do next, she had to reorganize her thoughts.

Ulthos was truly a mesmerizing place. Once she stepped foot on the ground she immediately noticed how the grass was green, not a usual green but a more light green and it was not only the color but the smell too. It was a refreshing smell with hints of fresh rain and she could feel the lymph flowing under her feet.

The trees stood tall and some would say intimidating but Alex would rather say fascinating. The panorama was captivating with the huge mountains, and few of them touched the clouds making it seem like the gods were in connection with the earth.

Looking around she noticed a tavern, it was made of wood giving it a rustic look. Alex stepped in and all eyes were on her. She guessed it was strange seeing an adventurer on these lands. Ulthos, just like Sothoryos was not well known.

"What can I give you sweetie ?" The woman behind the counter asked when she approached.

"I need some informations." Alex said while slowly leaning on the wooded surface.

"Informations have a price hon-" and before she could end her sentence Alex showed the woman a golden coin.

"Very well, follow me." The middle aged woman said after heading toward a door. Alex followed her intently and closed the door behind her as the woman said so.

She climbed the steps as they were going upstairs. In front of them was a big hallway. The short inn's owner turned right, left and right again before opening a door. There was a large bed in the middle of the room while on the left sat a fireplace and on the right a desk with wardrobe near it.

"What do you need." The short puff woman asked sitting on a chair in front of the fireplace.

"I'm coming from Braavos. Rumors about a dragon started spreading, I didn't believe it at first but when I began asking around people said that they saw the creature. So I'm here to find it. Rumors said that it came in Ulthos." I sat on the other chair.

"It is indeed true. Adventurers like you started coming for it, I saw it once but it was headed towards the core of the forest. I suppose that it's living there." She said fixing her red hair.

I waited for her to continue and she did. "I saw it once, 8 moons ago, it fled near the tavern and I can say that it is huge. It was a dark red color but I noticed something weird." She turned in Alex direction, the woman's black eyes held confusion. "I believe I saw a white thing on its leg, or paw? I don't even know how to call it, we thought those beasts were extinct with the last dragon rider being a century ago." She took a breath before continuing. "I feel sorry for the creature knowing it's fate." She said with pitying look as her tone reached Alex's ears.

Now she was the one with the confused face instead.

"White? What could it be?" Alex asked more to herself than the woman.

"I have no idea," the red head answered as if the question was revolted to her. "Fortunately I noticed that its paw was more retracted than the other one and the white thing made me instantly think about a dangerous creature that had maybe attacked it." She finished as the cackling noise of the fireplace created a comfortable silence. "Or maybe I'm just seeing things." She murmured with an eye roll to herself.

"What do you mean about 'its fate'?" Alex then asked not forgetting about the other thing that the woman had previously said.

"Even though the forest is full of animals it is nearly impossible to catch them. There may be things scarier than a walker there so the fauna adapted quickly." She paused as she cleared her throat. "Fast, great stamina and fine hearing. Even the best hunters struggle to catch a deer or a stag." she said taking a sip of what Alex thought being rum.

"Thank you for the information." Alex said giving the woman a few extra coins since she felt like the red head told her everything she knew without leaving out details.

Alex got up and with a sigh the black headed woman exited the tavern after receiving a few weird looks. She then made her way onto the dark stony path that lead into the deep forest.

Now she only needed to survive.
