"Girl you can't say it like that." I laughed slightly pushing my 8-year-old daughter away, "Come on daddy."
"Okay let's be serious!" I stretched, and we practiced for about a whole before she finally got fed up and walked away.
These 3 years have been the best time of my life honestly, living in LA with the woman I love and the daughter I cherish.
About a year ago I convinced Crystal to move to Los Angeles with me so we wouldn't have to continue the back and forth with Dai.
Thankfully she agreed and we've been living together ever since, we are in a committed relationship and I'm so happy.
The public loves us together, they labeled me as one of the NBA who doesn't cheat, Crys and I cracked up laughing when we read it.
Since we've been back together we've just been so happy, I always make sure my girls are happy no matter what.
Crystal and I rarely ever argue because we both want and need the same things, Dai is a piece of work but we know how to handle her.
She's an amazing 3rd grader, she's been on the honor roll since 1st grade and has continued to improve tremendously.
She makes sure she does what she needs to and is always her best self, she has her days where she acts out but overall she's amazing.
Crystal and I haven't discussed the topic of more kids because she's always saying "I'm not ready to tamper with this body again."
I just let her be because truth be told I don't know if I want more kids either, I mean I love my DaiDai but she was horrible younger.
Anyways Crystal finally opened her own modeling agency down in LA, she named it
The Crystal's.
She has about 12 models and they are amazing, now I don't look at them or anything like that but with my girl being their boss Ik they are.
She also didn't give up on being a nurse or designer, she designs all her models' clothes and makes sure they're always in tack.
She has also continued to be one of the top nurses at one of the best hospitals out here, but now she's having doubts about staying.
She has a newfound career and wants to pursue acting however she's scared to give up being a nurse which she loves so much.
That's beside the point, I just love how involved she is with her work.
Through all of her jobs, tasks, and work she still finds a way to make time for both me and our daughter.
I can't think of a better person, mother, designer, model, or nurse, she's amazing at all things. I love her confidence.
I love how she's never afraid to say what's on her mind, she's always making sure she's at her best and doing her best.
She's my number one woman and I love her more than anything, that's why I want her to be my wife. I wouldn't want to marry anyone else.
-- THE PROPOSAL --
"Babe please, you know you don't like this song." Crystal laughed as I sang fumble to her. "Yes I do, I just don't like when you play it."
Her mouth widened before we both laughed, I pulled up to the place and she looked out. "Where are we D?"
I pulled out the blindfold with a smirk, "Oh you tryna fuck- Crystal Renee!" I laughed stopping her from leaning her seat back.
"What?" She giggled, "Put this on for me?" she looked at me skeptically. "Okay but don't kill me, I have a child."
I smacked my teeth, "Girl shut up," I swear she watches entirely too many lifetime movies, because what the hell.
I turned off the car after parking then hopped out, I went over to Crystal's door and helped her out. I Locked the doors and helped her to the door.
"Why does it feel like 4 hands touching me?" Crystal's dad looked at me and shook his head, "Told you, my baby not slow." he mouthed to me.
"Can you just trust me baby?" she sighed before nodding, we entered the building and everyone was standing there.
I got behind Crystal and got on one knee, Crystal's father removed the blindfold and everyone yelled, "SURPRISE!"
"Omg, I'm so confused but happy to see everyone." they all laughed as I kept my composure, just as crys tried to turn Dailani ran up to her.
"Hi, Mommy!" , "Hi baby girl!" Crystal pinched her cheek, "Mommy I have a question," Dad said with an innocent smile.
"Ask away baby,"
"Will you marry daddy?" I couldn't see Crys's face all I know is she went silent, "Turn around baby," her mother spoke.
She turned to face the opposite direction and looked down at me, "Baby-" she muttered putting her hand over her mouth.
"Crystal I love you, and I have known that I was going to love you since the moment I met you. I have never met anyone like you ever before. You are spoiled yet so humble, you are such a gem and I adore that about you. You're so good at everything you do and no one can top you in anything. You the baddest chick I've ever met. I love your personality, your skill, your talent, your work ethic, and most importantly I love your love for me and Dai. We have had our ups and downs and everyone in this room knows them, however, the good outweighs the bad. That's why I kneel in front of you today waiting on your answer."
(Dailani talking now) "So Will you marry my daddy?"
Crystal finally let the tears flow, "YES 1 MILLION TIMES YES!" I slid the ring on her finger and she jumped with joy.
I stood to my feet and wrapped her in a big bear hug as everyone cheered, clapped, and congratulated us. I picked Dai up and joined her in our hug.
"I love you both, my two special ladies. You both make my life complete." I kissed Dai's cheek then Crystal's.
