Crystal Hayslett - 5 years later.

"Dailani put your shoes on please, for mommy!" I begged my 5 year old daughter, she's so hardheaded.

"I don't wanna go mommy," she cried sliding down the seat, "Okay fine Lani, we won't go."

I threw her shoes to the ground and got on my phone, I do this all the time and she ends up changing her mind.

I waited about 10 minutes and she fell asleep, I put her shoes on, fixed her hair, then put her in the car. She just played herself.

I blasted the radio as I drove to my parents house, I was now freshly 23 years old, in my 2nd freshman year of college.

I had one more year to go, leaving me at 6 years of college for my nursing degree. My daughter is 5, and I'm proud to say she's going to walk across with me.

As I pulled up to my parents house I noticed the amount of cars outside, I didn't even realize this is what she meant by family dinner.

"Lani baby wake up," I picked her up, she started whining and I gave her, her sippycup. "We at nana's house,"

She perked up with a smile, "Nana!!" She started singing loudly as I knocked on the door, I had my key but I didn't feel like getting it.

"Quiet down baby." I laughed a bit as the door opened, my mom smiled when she saw the two of us.
"Hey sweetheart."

"Hey mommy!" She grabbed Lani's big ass from me and started tickling her. I came in all the way closing the door behind me.

"Ma who's all them cars outside?" She shrugged, I made my way over to the couch where my dad was. "Hi daddy!"

He stood up and gave me a tight hug, once he let go I giggled. I love my dad so much, growing up he was always my fav.

In my teens years I got closer with my mom simply because she was my principal but other than that I was a daddy's girl.

"Where's my little bug?" He looked around for Dailani, I pointed to mom who came up over where we were.

I let them interact and finally took a look around at the people around, I ignored everyone who greeted me when I first arrived.

I made my way to the kitchen and came face to face with someone who I'd been avoiding for 5 years of my life.

"Crystal?" Devale spoke.
