Beast 09: Lost in the Woods

♚Princess's point of view♚

Isang lalaking topless ang lumabas mula sa matatas na damo. He has his strong jaw, clenched teeth, crooked nose, jet black hair, and his masculine body. My jaw drop when I recognized that man. It was Ace!

He grin while looking at the man. But it all disappeared and became emotionless when his eyes met mine. He was looking at me intensely. And so am I.

'What the hell are you doing here?"

I shrieked mentally when I heard that voice again. It sounds angry for me being here. But why would he care?

I shriek nang lumabas ang mga wolves behind Ace's back. There are lots of them. And I think, they are bigger than me. They are growling while slowly heading closer to us.

I can't move in my place. My eyes were plastered in Ace's grey eyes. While looking at his eyes, I feel no fear. While looking at his eyes, I feel secured and safe.

I shrieked when someone grab me in the waist and carry me like a pig. I was shouting for help. I was also hitting his back with all my strength but it has no use. He didn't even wince or show that his hurt.

I bump my butt so hard nang mabitawan ako nung lalaki. I winced at the pain. I saw Ace and the man are already fighting. Pati na rin ang mga wolves at ang iba pang kasama ng lalaki. Ano naman ang kalaban laban ng mga lalaking iyon sa mga wolves?

I crawled back when a wolf was coming near me. It was growling. I can see his sharp teeths. Sharp enough to tear me into piecess.

Kakagatin na sana ako ng wolf na iyon nang ibalibag siya ni Ace sa isang punong kahoy. "Ace." Fears was slowly creeping into my body. My hands started to shake and my eyes are watering.

"Ace!!" A wolf attacked him. He got a scratch on his chest. It was bleeding. Ace grab it's foot and throw it in a nearby wall.

Ace came running to me. He kneeled on the ground para maka level ako. He looked at me in the eyes with a bit of concern.

"Go Dominique, hide yourself into the woods." He commanded. I shake my head as I disagree.

"What about you?" I asked afraid of him getting hurt. I looked fragile and weak at this time. I was not the same.

"I'll find you after this." I closed my eyes and hug him tightly. I don't want somebody getting hurt because of me. Especially him. Tears roll down my face when I felt him returning my hug.

"Promise?" I asked for assurance.

I felt him nod. "I promise."

He faced me and gave me a genuine smile. I closed my eyes again when he kissed me in the forehead. It leaves a wet mark. Butterflies started to fly in my stomach again. And sparks are everywhere.

"Go! Be safe. I'll find you." I nod at him and roughly wiped the tears from my cheeks.

I ran fast heading to the dark forest. Kahit na hindi ko alam kung saan ako pupunta, patuloy parin ako sa pagtakbo. Madilim ang gubat dahil natatakpan ng mga dahon at sanga ang sinag na nagmumula sa buwan. Muntikan pa akong mapatid sa mga nakausling ugat ng puno.

I stoped when I hear a noise. It was like someone or something is moving slowly to my direction. I can hear the sound of twigs and dry leaves being crunched.

It was slowly and terrifying.

My senses became alert. Lumilinga ako sa pligid at hinahanap kung ano ba ang bagay na iyon. Whatever it is or whoever it is, it was fucking damn creaping the hell out of me!

"Ace?!" My hands are trembling no-- my whole body is trembling! Nakatutok ang mga mata ko sa bushes ng gumalaw ito. It was like something is in there.

I gasped when the crows fled away. I cover my ears when they chirped a low-pitched and irritating sound. I almost cry when fears creap into my mind.

Bakit nga ba kasi ako nandito?

The happenings before I got lost in this freaking forest pop up into my mind.

I woke up in Jovanie's bed. I got home. Lolo and I got a liitle quarrel. And he told me that I am not his real grand daughter. Na sampid lang ako sa bahay niya. My heart broke so I ran away. But the taxi driver took me here instead of taking me to Jovanie's condo. Ace came and fighting happened. Until I got into this freaking forest to hide myself.

The movement of the bushes stopped and the surroundings become silent. I hug myself when the cold wind blows. Tinangay nito ang mahaba kong buhok at ang mga dahon. The rustling of the leaves and branches gives me chill all over my body.

"Ace?! Is that you?!" I shouted. Hoping that it was Ace. But where the hell is Ace? Did he survived? Before I got lost in this freaking forest, I heard bones cracking. Did they beat him to death? Is Ace okay?

I almost pull my own hair. What was I saying? He made a promise. He told me that he'll find me.

'But promises are made to be broken.' Sabi ng isang side ng utak ko.

Yeah, it got a point. Promises are made to be broken. Pero papaano na si Ace? Hindi ko mapapa tawad ang sarili ko kung may masamang mangyari sakanya. I'm feeling guilty at this time. What if they beat him to death? Tapos multuhin ako ni Ace dahil kasalan ko ang nangyari sa kanya?

Balikan ko kaya siya? Hindi ako mapakali sa kinakatayuan ko. Ilang oras na rin akong tumatakbo pero wala paring Ace na nakahanap sakin. What if, pinapahirapan na siya ng mga lalaki at wolves na yun? Baka kailanganin niya ang tulong ko.

I nod once before running back pabalik sa pinang galingan ko. Ace needs my help. He saved me twice already. And now, ako naman ang magliligtas sakanya.
