Chapter 1:

Bonnie’s P.O.V

Daunting. That’s what the building in front of me was. ‘Oh get a grip of yourself Bonnie!’ I scolded myself. It was just a new school. No need to freak out. Freaking out just wasn’t me. So what the hell was wrong with me! I was nearly 18 for god sakes! This shouldn’t be scary I’m not in primary school anymore, I don’t need my mummy! I thought sarcastically taking a deep breath and hitching my bag on my shoulder. I looked up at the building again and sighed. I had no choice but to enter here even if I really didn’t want to. What can I say, going to school was defiantly not on my agenda. Damn you mother! I cursed as I stomped onto school grounds. “Bonnie!” Revan shouted and I couldn’t help the grin that spread across my face. “Revan!” I squealed as she approached. “Your being forced to attend this hellhole too?” she nodded and I couldn’t help but grin. ‘Hmm suddenly school just got that much more interesting’ I thought wickedly, grinning. “Oh no Bonnie. I know that look!” Revan said shaking her head in disapproval. “What look?” I said innocently and she rolled her eyes causing me to laugh. “You know exactly what look Bonnie!” she chided and I just grinned at her. “God Revan you’re going to make me late!” I scolded teasingly and she groaned. Grinning I set off walking towards the main entrance with Revan. All my nerves suddenly dissipated at her arrival. See Revan and I had been attached at the hip from the age of four. She was 5ft 5” and had long chocolate brown hair and bright green eyes. Her body was slender yet she had curves in all the right places and she was pale skinned. I on the other hand was 5ft 6” I had black curls that had loosened into waves as I had grown up, I had bright blue doe eyes and pale skin. My body was reasonably proportioned but I wouldn’t say I was good looking by any means. Yeah Revan and I had been friends for so long I couldn’t believe I still had her at my new school. It was a major plus! We had got into so much trouble growing up. But hey what can I say we were adventurous children! Our Alpha and my father didn’t appreciate our shenanigans so much though…god knows why! Oh yeah I forgot to mention…Revan and I…Yeah we’re shifters. Her a wolf, me a coyote. Cool DNA flaw hey!

Skipping along arm in arm with Revan I realised we were by no means going to fit in here. Not that I was bothered. Fitting in and being a clone…yeah also not on my to do list! God there were a lot of things on there! I laughed with Revan ignoring all the glares and muttering we were receiving. ‘If they wanted me to attend this school they had better learn to put up with me!’  I thought as I pushed the large brown door that took us inside the main office. “Bonnie Grey and Revan Wood, I’m assuming?” a short plump women said from behind her dull brown desk. Her grey hair was pulled tightly into a bun and her clothes were smart and clean cut. “You’d be assuming correctly” I said sarcastically. I mean seriously isn’t it obvious as we are the only two students starting the school half way through the first term! I rolled my eyes at Revan who just laughed at me. “Something funny Miss Woods?” the woman said sternly, it was obvious from her tone that she hated her job because she lacked authority. “Nothing you would understand dear” Revan said sweetly and I couldn’t help but laugh. “I see” the woman said simply before typing away at her computer. Probably alerting all our teachers that we were trouble. Ah well. Best they got a heads up, that way they might not be surprised when things didn’t go to their plans when we attended class. Actually no amount of heads up was ever going to prepare anybody for the force that was Revan and I. We were just such a great team. We bounced our evil sarcastic ways off each others with great results! For us anyway. Everyone else? Not so much. “Here are your schedules. Have a nice day. And don’t cause any trouble” she said handing us two slips of paper. We bowed to her like she was the queen sarcastically before walking out in fits of giggles. “So how many lessons you ditched me in?” I asked Revan as I looked at my schedule. “Hey! I would never ditch you purposely” she defended. “Sure you wouldn’t” I said sarcastically and we both laughed. We were always like this. Teasing each other was normal banter for us. “Oh great a double maths lesson on a Friday afternoon! I mean seriously who comes up with these ideas!” Revan groaned. “The soul killers! Dom dom dom!” I said dramatically causing more laughter. “Seems legit” Revan said and I nodded. Hey teachers were practically soul killers. They were miserable old people, who decided to spend their lives trying and failing to turn students into their little clones. Yeah that was so not happening. I was too free and wild for that shizz. A shrill bell screamed through the air. It sounded like tortured souls. So it fit me perfectly. I felt like a tortured soul being forced to attend this hell hole they called school. I mean seriously what was the point? “Guess that means we finally have to face class” Revan groaned and I nodded sadly. “Bet we don’t even have the same first lesson…you know because life is that cruel!” I said bitterly. She shook her head sadly. “I have a double art period” she said and I groaned. Revan loved art, she was amazing at it. I hated it, I preferred art in the form of photographs, so this was why she had picked Art as her one subject choice and I had chosen Photography. “I have double Photography. So I guess I shall see you later then?” I said miserably. I knew that the lesson was going to be fun. Hell it was the one subject I actually wanted to attended the lessons for. But it would have been better with Revan there. “Yeah. Meet you in the dinner hall?” she said and I nodded. With that she turned and left heading to where the signs said the art department was. Groaning once more I turned and headed towards the photography department. ‘Looks like were flying solo this time’ I thought miserably as I trudged through the various hallways, avoiding the traffic of miserable students that littered said halls.
