Ace’s P.O.V

I stared down at my little mate and I couldn’t help but feel ecstatic inside. Revan was my mate! I couldn’t have asked for a better girl to be my mate! Revan was beautiful and had an amazing personality. She was everything a guy could ask for in a mate and more. I couldn’t believe my luck. I had been planning on going to search for my mate once I got pack to pack territory and we’d had this party. Now I wouldn’t even have to do that because here she was. The birthday girl herself. Watching my little mate closely I watched as a mixture of emotions danced across her delicate face. I spotted fear, nervousness and worry etch into her face and I ached to soothe them all away. My mate deserved to be happy and loved and I was determined to make sure she did. “Ace” she breathed softly. I trembled at the way my name sounded coming from her sweet lips. Just my name was turning me to mush. Damn this girl was going to send me crazy if she had this much control over me already. “Revan” I said surprised by just how husky my voice sounded. I heard her gasp. “You’re…you’re my mate” she said unsure. “I know” I said smiling happily at her. She didn’t look to sure though. I didn’t really blame her though. I may not look a day older than twenty one as that’s the age I decided to slow my aging so now I only age a year every ten years. But the reality was I was twenty eight years old. This made me ten years older than her. The thought that she would reject me because of my age suddenly came to mind and I winced. I didn’t want to lose her. She was my mate. I wouldn’t be able to function without her now that I knew who she was. It was as simple as that. “You don’t sound too happy” I said sadly watching her closely. She seemed to contemplate how to answer that. I watched as a mixture of pain and nervousness crossed her features. ‘She’s going to reject me’ I thought as the pain stabbed through my chest. “I’m just shocked is all. I didn’t expect it” she said softly. “You didn’t expect it to be me” I said simply and she nodded. I hung my head. She was embarrassed that I was her mate. She must of sensed my unease and hurt because suddenly I felt her hand on my face, the tingles dancing between us leaving my skin burning wherever she touched. It wasn’t uncomfortable. It was amazing. “I didn’t mean that in a negative way Ace.” she whispered softly, lifting my chin to meet her gaze. I couldn’t help but stare into her bright green eyes. They were so captivating they managed to make it seem like time had stood still. “Please Revan. Don’t reject me” I whimper not caring how weak I sound right now. I couldn’t bare the thought of losing her especially after I’d just found her. I heard her gasp at my words. “What would make you think I was going to reject you?” she asked softly and I couldn’t look at her eyes. I just dropped my gaze, slightly ashamed of myself. Because truth be told the only reason I thought she would reject me was because of my age and right now it seemed a pathetic reason. “Ace?” she asked when I didn’t respond. I sighed. “Because of my age” I whispered still refusing to look at her. She lifted my head up so I was back staring into her eyes as she spoke softly but the seriousness was there. “Ace. You are my mate. Your age isn’t going to stop me from accepting you” I felt my face light up like a child at Christmas. “Really?” I asked excitedly. “Really” she said humour in her voice. I smiled and hugged her tight. I felt her smile and wrap her arms around me. She really was something else this little mate of mine. I kissed her forehead softly and she smiled sweetly at me. “I think we better get you down to your party little mate before someone sends a search party for you” I said laughing. She laughed and nodded. I went to take her hand in mine and was elated when she took my hand in hers. The heat and tingles that danced between us was amazing. I smiled like a child as I walked downstairs hand in hand with my mate. ‘I really was the luckiest man alive’ I thought as I walked.
