Ace’s P.O.V
I watched as my beautiful mate disappeared among the crowd. I sighed and begrudging headed towards where Zylen had the BBQ going. I personally didn’t see why it took more than him to cook some food for the pack, but according to Re it did and what she says goes. ‘You are so whipped’ my wolf said happily and I rolled my eyes. He could hardly talk, he was just as whipped when it came to Revan’s wolf side. ‘Okay you got me’ he whined and I laughed. ‘You have to admit though our mate is god damn amazing’ he purred in my head and I had to nod my head at this. Revan was amazing. Nobody in the entire world could ever come close to her. She was perfect in every way. And best of all she was mine. I smiled at this. “Oh hey Ace. You being forced to help too” Zylen said laughing. I nodded. Zylen was our Alpha, but half the time he was more like a big brother. He always had a laugh and a joke with us when we weren’t dealing with serious pack issues. Looking at him you wouldn’t think he was thirty two years old. He still looked no older than twenty four. His brown hair was untamed and fell across one of his eyes, his skin was still flawless, not a single wrinkle in sight. He was still built like a brick house he hadn’t let himself go at all as he’d got older. I admired him to be honest. I only wished that Revan and I could have half of what he had with his mate and my Luna Harley. He had four perfect children and a beautiful mate with a great pack for him to lead. I knew I was never going to be an Alpha, but I would love to have children with my mate. But Revan is still only eighteen and is still in school so I know she won’t be ready for that, even if I am. I guess this is when our age difference comes into play. I sighed. Then realised I’d been so lost in thought that I’d not even bothered to answer Zylen. ‘God how disrespectful’ I thought miserably snapping out of my thoughts. “I am indeed” I finally said and he looked at me and grinned. “Wouldn’t be thinking of that mate of yours would you know?” he teased and I laughed. “I can’t help it, she’s just amazing!” I say laughing. Zylen nods in acknowledgement. “I know what you mean. Even now Harley is still as amazing to me as the day we first met” he said, love obvious in his tone. I smile. ‘Yep definitely want what he’s got with Harley’ I thought as I add new meat to the BBQ. Because afterall that’s why I was stood here wishing Revan was in my arms and not retrieving the birthday girl. I mean I love Bonnie like a sister but I’m selfish when it comes to my mate. All shifter males are, comes in the DNA I think. I sighed and continued with the helping wishing my mate was here and praying she hurries up and comes back to me.
Revan’s P.O.V
Manoeuvring through the crowd of people towards the back door, I prayed Beth had followed instructions. Yes I know it seemed mad, relying on a four year old to get Bonnie ready for her party secretly. But hey you work with what you got and Beth is a very demanding four year old! I laugh at my own thoughts as I take the stairs to the house two at a time. I clearly wasn’t paying attention because at that moment I nearly face planted the very person I was looking for. “Beth! Bonnie!” I said happily and Beth grinned. Bonnie on the other hand looked so confused. I couldn’t help but grin, because if she was confused it means she was still clueless. “My work here is done!” Beth announced bounding off outside happily. I grinned at her. “Beth. Where are you going? I thought we were heading for food?” Bonnie asked confused. “Revan, what the hell is going on here!” she demanded turning to face me. And wow was she breath taking. She was wearing a baby blue satin dress that fell mid-thigh and clung to her body like a second skin, emphasising every curve she owned in a classy manner. It had a slightly dipped neckline, but not too much that you could see anything. Her hair fell down her shoulders in loose black curls and her bright blue eyes shone, confusion was evident on her pale perfect face. I couldn’t help but feel a little dull in comparison, but I shrugged it off. Afterall I had a mate that loved me, so it didn’t really matter what I thought of myself. “Come Bonnie” I said softly and she just folded her arms. “I am not moving anywhere until someone explains what’s going on!” she said defiantly while stomping her foot. I couldn’t help but giggle. “This is not funny Revan!” she sulked and I laughed again.
