Bonnie’s P.O.V
“Bang! Bang! Bang!” ‘What in god’s name is that racket!’ I thought groggily as I forced my eyes open. Looking at the alarm clock by my bed I couldn’t help but groan when 6:00am flashed back at me. ‘Nobody and I mean nobody should be made to be awake at this hour! It was inhumane!’ I thought as I sat up sadly. Bang! Bang! Bang! The noise vibrated the bedroom. “Somebody better be dying” I shouted at the noise. I heard a chuckle from the opposite side of the door. Moments later Evie materialised around the door grinning. “Nope. No one died. Sorreh Bon. Had to make sure you were awake” she said innocently walking to my desk and sitting on the swivel chair. “What by causing an earthquake? Hell I bet thee whole house is awake with that racket!” I groaned. She just laughed. “If you say Bonnie. Now hurry and dress I would like some breakfast before we have to leave!” she said standing once more. “well you don’t see me stopping you getting food now. You on the other hand are preventing my sleep!” I said scowling at her. She laughed. “Arse down stairs. Fifteen minutes. Otherwise there will be hell to pay” she said simply before she left the room closing the door quietly. I scowled and pushed the blanket off me. ‘God damn her!’ I thought as I stood and headed for the shower.
Stepping out the shower I couldn’t help but smile. For that moment I felt so chilled and relaxed. The hot water had un-knotted my stressed body and washed away any worries I’d been harbouring for the last few days. But the moment the towel dropped from my now dried body, my little happy bubble popped too and reality came crashing back down on me. I sighed and pulled on my underwear quickly, aware that soon I will have Evie screaming bloody murder at me if I don’t hurry. Throwing my wet towel into the hamper I headed out the bathroom in search of some type of clothing to wear to the dreaded hellhole to which my attendance wasn’t optional. Sadly. Rummaging through my wardrobe I realised I was in desperate need of some new clothes. This thought made me depressed and giving in I pulled on a pair of dark denim shorts and a turquoise cami. I then pulled on some converse and ran a brush through my wild tangled mass of so called hair. Looking myself over in the mirror I sighed and decided it would have to do as I was fast running out of time. In fact I was positive I could hear Evie heading towards my room. Tucking my phone into my short pocket and grabbing my packed back pack I headed out the door just as Evie was coming up the stairs. “Lucky Bonnie. Very lucky” she said seriously before she spun on her heel and headed back down the stairs. “I don’t know what you mean” I said innocently as I followed behind her. “Sure. Just get into the kitchen. You mummy has been lovely enough to make chocolate chipped pancakes” Evie said and I couldn’t help but lick my lips at the thought. I loved my mothers chocolate chipped pancakes. They were heavenly. My stomach rumbled at the thought and my nose quickly caught the scent of the pancakes making my stomach growl louder. If that was possible. “God quieten your stomach before it wakes the house” Evie said laughing as she walked into the kitchen. “I can’t help it. It has a mind of it own!” I said in defeat. This caused Evie to laugh. “You wouldn’t be talking about that stomach of yours would you my dear daughter” my mother teased. “Morning to you too mother” I said as I passed her heading to the fridge. She laughed. “That too” she said as she placed pancakes onto two plates for Evie and I. “Whoa. Who said Evie could have any?” I said raising an eyebrow as I poured some orange into a glass. “Your mummy. Because SHE loves me…unlike her daughter” Evie said taking a plate and stuffing a pancake into her mouth. I shook my head and drained my juice before too beginning to devour my plate of pancakes. They were even better than my imagination. My mouth had so many amazing tastes in it that I thought it would explode. I sighed in contentment as I finished the last piece. “Thanks mummy” I said innocently. She laughed. “Yeah thanks Luna” Evie said before she stood. “You girls are welcome. Now shoo. Get to school” she said shooing us towards the door. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my backpack. “Gee feeling the love mother” I said sarcastically and she just laughed. “Goodbye. And stay out of trouble” she said before heading back inside. “Always” I shouted in response before heading towards the woods to school with an over eager Evie.
