Harry POV

"Damn it!" I yelled as I untangled my tie with my wand, there was an hour until the ball started, and I was still practicing how to tie my tie. I looked over at Percy who had accidentally tied his way too tight, and Will was untangling him from the mass of blue around his throat. I had no idea what the girls were doing, and didn't want to know. They had gone into their dorm room FIVE hours ago to prepare for the ball, and we could hear the shrieks and giggles all the way from our dorm room. We were all sweating, and fumbling with our ties, but Nico was really the only one who could actually ties his tie without swearing or breaking a lamp *COUGH* RON *COUGH*.

"Mate, I-I think I got it! YES!!!!" Ron said jumping around the room,

"Lucky...." The twins muttered as they tried doing each others' different ties.

20 minutes of pain, sweat, anxiety, and an over the top Ron later,

"Yes..." Percy said with his tie perfectly snuggled inside his vest,

"I wanna get this over with, so we should get the girls." Will said,

"Will, Connor, and I have dates from different houses, so see ya!" Nico anounced, the three of them were already dressed, and were holding little boxes that had corsages in them.

"Er, bye!" I managed to say slumped on my bed, with my face in my pillow. They left the room, and it was silent for a while until,

"Well, time to start packing weapons!" Travis said

"Huh?" Ron asked,

"Weapons, you know? Like big pointy shar-"

"I know what weapons are, just, why do you need them for a ball?" He asked utterly bewildered,

"You never know when you're going to be attacked, so demigods are always prepared." He replied, Ron whisled, and sat down on his bed. We sat there for a while, just sitting there, until ten minutes before the ball, we sat up, put our jackets, on, and grabbed the corsage boxes. We walked up to the girls' dorm, and knocked.....

"Hi Harry!" Ginny said, walking out, and she blew my mind, she had on a turquoise dress with two thick straps, and gold heels, it hit the floor like a puddle of water, and shimmered. She had a gold clutch, and had on minimal makeup. Stunning.

"Hi Ginny,"

"Hi Harry" she blushed as I slid the corsage (a gold flower) on her wrist,

"Ginny, you look absolutely beautiful. Now, are you ready to go to the ball?" I asked,

"Yes Harry, I'm ready." She murmured as she took my hand, and we walked out of the common room.

Percy POV

I walked inside the girls' dorm, and saw Annabeth putting her shoes on. She was absolutely beautiful in a strapless, floor length gown that matched the color of my tie. It was tight around her stomach, and had small sequins, it sort of flared out, and was crimped in some areas. She had a gray clutch, and had diamond teardrop earrings with little makeup. Her hair was in some updo that probably took her 3 hours to do. And I managed to say something really smart to my beautiful girlfriend,
