Author's Note: 2 parts in one weekend? I promise I haven't been hacked lol. Also, 12,000 READS?!? Your support will always amaze me. I am forever grateful, and can only hope this is living up to your expectations! Lastly, 20 followers away from 900? Damn. Still debating on whether or not to make this into 2 books, but maybe it'll just be a longer story. Which do you prefer?
Anyway, back to the real reason you're here lol. Bit of a longer chapter, so hope you enjoy x
Before you sit in the main room, you lightly slap Tony on the back of the head as you walk past.
"Hey! What did I do now?" Tony rubs where you hit him, as if it actually hurt.
You grab a cup and plate, "You gave the most detailed directions to a bathroom."
He takes a sip of his coffee, "Ah, so you've met Peter!"
"Yes. And he seems really sweet. So DON'T corrupt him!" you make sure to add.
"Me?" Tony puts his hand to his heart. "I am extremely offended! I do NO such thing to anyone. I like to fly under the radar."
That earns a few laughs from those around, "Please! Even...." you think for a second. "Submarines probably get notifications from you!"
"Only those that use Stark products," Tony points out, taking another mouthful.
"Good lord! Next will be worldwide breaking news of what food you eat!" you roll your eyes.
Mid-chew, Tony looks up, "Actually, FRIDAY usually takes photos and posts them online...."
"Oh. My. God," you laugh and shake your head as you stick your fork into another bite.
"Now, how did I become part of this conversation?" Loki pulls out the chair next to you.
"Just because someone mentions the word 'God', doesn't always mean you, Pompous," Tony glares at Loki.
"Really? You of all people are going to call someone else pompous?" you raise your eyebrows, looking across the table at your brother.
Tony squints, "Since when do you defend Reindeer Games? You can't stand each other."
"Yes. Do tell us," Nat says with a huge grin, finishing up her meal as well.
Your chewing stops, and you're about to respond, when Peter comes back in, "SPARKER!" You quickly stand from your chair and walk over to the boy, "Great news! My DEAR brother has decided to give you the ENTIRE tour of the tower after dinner!"
Peter had stopped walking next to an empty chair by Steve, "Wow! Thank you, Mr. Stark!"
Tony sends you a look, before softening again to look back at Peter, "Just...call your aunt, kid, and tell her you'll be late. I'll have Happy drop you off later."
The conversation continues amongst everyone at the table for nearly another hour. This is what you like about living in the tower. On occasion, everything can feel normal, like you don't live with a team of superheroes. Family.
"Shocking to no one, we will be hosting a party tomorrow night at the club downtown, in honor of Parker joining the team," Tony announces before everyone disperses for the evening.
"Tony, you do realize that Peter's not even 18, let alone 21, right?" Steve reminds Tony as he walks by.
"So we get the kid a box of Capri Sun juice boxes," Tony shrugs. "Problem solved."
"There doesn't need to be a party, Mr. Stark. I'm just happy to be he..." Peter starts, but Happy comes and pats him on the shoulder.
"It's an excuse for Tony to have a party. There's no talking him out of it," Happy starts to lead him to the elevator. "Come on. I'll take you home."
