Author's Note: Don't be surprised if this story winds up being around 70-something parts lol. Maybe even longer lol.

When you look down at your shirt, it has 'Property of Loki' printed across it.

"The attire suits you," Loki smirks, admiring his name on your shirt.

Thor walks to your cabinet and takes a Poptart.

"Feel free to make yourself at home!" you call over.

"You had to be anticipating my arrival; you have Poptarts!" Thor spits some crumbs onto the counter.

Loki takes the box and uses his magic to clean Thor's mess, "Mother would be SO pleased with your manners, brother."

Thor takes another bite, "How did mother phrase it? 'Do not spit...'?"

Loki shakes his head and holds his palm up, allowing an image of Frigga to appear.

"Let thoughts fly from your mouths, not crumbs," the image speaks.

You laugh at the interaction between Thor and Loki, until a small headache starts when Frigga's image talks.

"Do not worry; I will wipe the remainder of my mess from your counter, Y/N," Thor begins to wipe it down.

"As you should, you oaf," Loki rolls his eyes.

Even though the image is gone, Frigga's voice plays over and over in your mind as your headache only worsens, and then you recognize the voice.

Your hand grips the counter, Thor and Loki's voices becoming muffled.

"What do you think, Y/...?" Loki begins to ask, but then sees your state.

His voice still sounds like you're under water, but you feel Loki take your shoulders in his hands.

"Darling? What is it? What is happening?" Loki tries to search your eyes.

"That...voice..." one of your hands goes flat over your forehead.

"I swear on all the realms; if it is that sorcerer once again, I will have his head," Loki growls.

You shake your head, "No." You blink a few times, the pain finally subsiding.

"I cannot help you if you do not explain," Loki says through a still clenched jaw.

You take a sip of water, "The voice I heard on Asgard. It was your mother's."

Thor turns with a serious expression, "That is impossible. You are mistaken."

You've never seen Thor look angry, but he's visibly upset, "It's the same voice, Thor, I...."

"OUR MOTHER IS DEAD!" Thor's voice booms off of the walls of your apartment.

Loki spins around, "Mind your tone, brother. You will NOT raise your voice. Not at my MATE."

Loki's voice is calm yet seething, "Here." You take Loki's hand and place it on your cheek, "Listen."

You find yourself nuzzling into Loki's touch, much like he does to you, and then you play the voice over in your head, allowing Loki to hear exactly what you did on Asgard.

Seconds into hearing Frigga's voice, Loki brings his forehead to yours, "Again."

You put the voice on a loop in your mind for Loki.

He sighs, "Even from Valhalla, my mother would find a way and see your importance to me."

"The voice is Mother's?" Thor questions Loki.

Loki keeps his hand on your cheek, but turns and nods at Thor.

"I...apologize, Y/N. My outburst was uncalled for," Thor looks down and then back up at you.

"If you choose to raise your voice at them ever again, I wi..."

You take Loki's arm and stop his sentence, "Apology accepted, Thor. I probably would have reacted similarly if someone would have said the same of my parents."

Thor nods sheepishly, "Of course. Thank you. I will...leave you two be. Your location will remain a secret. I am due at the tower." He makes his way to your door.

Now Loki's attention is completely back to you, "Yes. Fine. Goodbye, Brother."

You're about to respond, but Loki slams the door in Thor's face with his magic, "Guess I should be impressed that you didn't choose to do worse to him?"

"If it so pleases you, I will gladly do more next time," Loki winks.

-------------------------------------------

You and Loki spend the next week in your apartment.

"We haven't left here in 5 days, Loki," you once again find yourselves in your kitchen with a mug of tea.

Loki laughs, taking your hand in his and pointing, "As I do recall, we have spent...quality time on that couch, this island, and most often, your sleeping quarters." Loki whispers each location in your ear.

"The only thing you haven't said are the walls," you laugh to hide the goosebumps forming at the base of your ear.

Loki glances around the room, "And there are oh so many to choose from."

That causes your eyes to widen, "I was being sarcastic, Loki!"

"Even so, do let me know when you wish to start checking off those surfaces," Loki leans next to you on the kitchen island.

You go to the stove and scoop food onto two plates, "You'll tire of me soon at this rate."

Loki moves your hair behind your ear, "Never."

When Loki's hand starts to trace the mark he gave you, you nearly drop the plates of food.

"You are mine forever, my Impossible Mortal," Loki watches your reactions closely.
