BIBLE

"I figured you'd be here," Build's voice came softly from the door.

Bible didn't look up, keeping his gaze fixed on the moon. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, feeling Build sit down beside him.

"Everyone's looking for you," Build continued.

"You took too long to get your drink—water or beer, rather."

Bible opened his eyes and continued to gaze at the moon, still avoiding looking at Build.

He worried that if Build saw his eyes, he might notice the sadness reflected there.

"The moon is beautiful, isn't it, Build?" Bible asked, his voice barely a whisper.

He felt a need to share the moment, hoping Build might understand the deeper meaning behind his words.

"Hmm, I know," Build replied.

Bible turned to look at him, but Build was focused on the night sky. Bible couldn't help but admire how serene and dreamlike Build appeared, his eyes shining brightly under the stars.

Build's gaze met Bible's for a moment, and he smiled.

Bible quickly looked away.

"What is it, Ble? You know you can always talk to me about what's bothering you," Build said, his tone calm and encouraging.

Bible chuckled softly.

If only you knew

he thought to himself.

"Nothing, really. Just things," Bible replied, taking a sip from his beer.

"I hope it's not a relationship problem," Build said with a hint of humor. "I'm no love expert, so I can't offer much advice."

"There's no relationship to begin with," Bible muttered, his voice barely audible.

"Is it unrequited?" Build asked, his curiosity evident.

"I guess? They don't really know I like them, and maybe they'll never know."

"Is it a girl or a boy?" Build inquired further.

Bible hesitated, feeling uncomfortable under the interrogation.

He handed Build one of his beers, hoping the gesture would deflect the question.

"This doesn't really answer my question, but thanks," Build said, accepting the beer with a smile.

A comfortable silence fell between them. Bible knew he shouldn't ask, but his curiosity got the better of him, even though he knew it would likely hurt.

"So, you and Nodt, huh?" Bible asked, trying to mask his pain with a facade of casual interest.Build choked on his beer, laughing as he looked at Bible.

"You believed that?!  that was just an inside joke between me and Nodt. We're only friends," Build said, still chuckling.

Bible felt a pang of disappointment. He had been heartbroken over an inside joke. It was upsetting.

"I've seen a lot of tweets about you and him," Bible said, his voice tinged with sadness.

"Yeah?" Build responded, his expression turning thoughtful.

"They've been shipping us, huh? Well, we're just friends, but the fans are really supportive. Our ship is still sailing."

Bible was grateful to the fans for their support, as it brought him some solace. At least, in their eyes, he and Build were a good pair.

The two of them sat in silence, enjoying the serene night.

Build moved closer and rested his head on Bible's shoulder. Bible hoped Build wouldn't notice his heavy breathing or the rapid beating of his heart.

"This is nice," Build murmured.

Bible hummed in agreement.

He hoped this moment would last forever. Leaning his head into Build's, Bible wrapped his arm around his shoulders, holding the beer in his other hand.

"I love it here," Bible said softly.

I love how it feels here, with you, the stars, the fresh air, and the moon.

his heart whispers honestly, painfully, eagerly, begging to be heard.

"I love it too," Build whispered back.

A tear rolled down Bible's cheek, and he quickly wiped it away.

He leaned in and gave Build a gentle kiss on the top of his head.

Suddenly, a phone rang, interrupting their quiet moment.

Bible glanced at the caller ID and saw a name that seemed important to Build.

"I need to take this," Build said, pressing the answer button. He stood up and walked a little distance away, leaving Bible alone.

Bible watched from afar, seeing Build's face light up as he spoke to the caller. He wondered if this person was significant to Build.

Bible looked back at the moon, feeling a deep sense of longing.

Both Build and the moon were beautiful and seemingly out of reach, and all he could do was admire them from a distance.

"Shall we head back now?" Build asked, returning with a smile.

Bible nodded, following him back with a heavy heart.
