Bible

Bible had heard from Apo that Build had finally come back. Finally. After years of waiting, he would finally get to see him again.

The long, agonizing wait was over.

He couldn't be at the airport to greet him; there was too much preparation for today.

He would apologize to Build later when they spoke.

Today wasn't just any day—it was the  homecoming of KinnPorsche.

It wasn't just a reunion; it was the day he had dreamed about for so long.

Bible stood in front of his mirror, holding the blue box he had carried with him for the last few years.

He had been holding onto it, waiting for this moment, the moment he would finally be able to give it to Build.

It was something he had prepared long ago, and he knew this was the day.

"We'll follow you later. Call me if he turns you down, okay?" Bible's father said, patting his shoulder with a stern yet reassuring expression.

Bible hesitated before asking,

"Do you think he'll turn me down?"

Bible's mother only shrugged, trying to hide the uncertainty in her eyes.

"It's been three years, Bible. We don't know. But we'll be here, no matter what happens," she said softly, her voice a little too calm for Bible's liking.

It made him feel small, uncertain, like his heart might break before he even had the chance to speak.

Bible sighed deeply, his confidence slowly draining away.

He had so many questions, so many doubts.

What if this was a mistake? What if Build had moved on?

His mother, sensing his hesitation, handed him his young nephew Lu, trying to lighten the mood.

"Take this kid with you. He'll give you luck,"

she said with a playful smile.

Bible chuckled nervously, "Mom!"Lu, with his big eyes and playful grin, hugged Bible's legs tightly.

"Dada!" he exclaimed, looking up at his uncle with innocent adoration.

Bible gave him a small smile, but the words that left his mouth were firm.

"I'm not your dad, okay? I'm your uncle."Lu, however, was undeterred.

"Dada!" he said again, wiggling with excitement.

Bible couldn't help but sigh.

He loved Lu, but the confusion about who was who was starting to wear on him.

He ruffled Lu's hair fondly, then gave him a serious look.

"We're going somewhere important today, and I have an important mission. So you better behave, alright?"

"Owkey!" Lu responded with an earnest nod, clearly eager to follow his uncle's instructions.

Bible changed into his best suit, the one he had kept aside for this day, and slid the blue box into his jacket pocket.

After putting Lu in the backseat of the car and securing him with the seatbelt, Bible took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves.

His heart was racing, his mind spinning.
