Build

Build had been thinking about this for a while. He knew what he wanted, and now that he had made up his mind, there was no turning back. He needed to tell Bible the truth, to finally let him know what he'd been holding onto. The time felt right.

They had spent the evening together, first on a date, and now back at Bible’s apartment, sitting on the floor playing video games. Build was distracted, his mind elsewhere, and it wasn’t long before Bible noticed.

“You’re distracted again, you’ll lose like this,” Bible teased, focused on the screen.

Moments later, he cheered, “Yes! I won!”

Build, however, had already put down his controller.

His hands rested in his lap, fingers intertwined, fidgeting nervously. How was he supposed to say this? How could he possibly start?

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, trying to steady the rapid beating of his heart. Calm down, Build, he told himself.

“Build, what’s wrong?” Bible’s voice broke through his thoughts.

Build opened his eyes to find Bible looking at him with concern.

“Are you alright?”

“I’m fine,” Build replied, though his voice wavered. “I just... I have something to tell you.”

He saw Bible’s expression shift, worry giving way to nervous anticipation.

“You can stop courting now,” Build said, reaching out to hold Bible’s hands.

For a moment, Bible looked mortified, his eyes wide with confusion.

“W-why? Did I do something wrong?” Bible stammered, panic rising in his voice.

“I’m sorry if I upset you. Please don’t tell me to stop courting you—I’ll never do anything to hurt you, I promise.”

Build’s heart clenched at Bible’s fear. “No, no! That’s not what I meant,” he quickly reassured him. “I’m saying you can stop courting now... because I want to be your boyfriend.”

Bible’s eyes widened, disbelief washing over his features. “Is this some kind of joke, Bui? Oh God, is this real? You’re my boyfriend now?!”

“Yes, Ble,” Build said, his voice soft but steady. “We’re boyfriends now.”

For a moment, Bible stood there, speechless.

Then, a wide grin spread across his face, lighting up his whole expression.

He helped Build to his feet and pulled him into a tight embrace, his joy palpable.

“Am I allowed to kiss you now?” Bible whispered in Build’s ear, his voice warm and low.

Build pulled away slightly, cupping Bible’s face with his hands.

Bible closed his eyes, savoring the touch.

Gently, Build kissed his forehead, then his nose, his cheeks, his chin—purposely avoiding his lips.

He kissed his temple, feeling Bible’s hand cover his own.

With a small smile, Bible pulled Build by the waist, and Build’s hands found their way to the back of Bible’s neck.

They stood there, foreheads touching, breaths mingling, the anticipation hanging thick in the air.

“I’ve wanted to kiss you for so long,” Bible whispered, his voice husky.

Build felt a shiver run down his spine.

He closed his eyes, leaning into Bible’s warmth. Their noses brushed, their breathing grew shallow, and then, finally, Bible closed the distance between them.

Their lips met, slow and tender at first.

This kiss wasn’t like the ones they had shared during filming—it was filled with something deeper, something that had been growing between them for months. It was a kiss full of love, of long-held affection, of quiet promises and unspoken words.

Build’s hands traveled from Bible’s neck to his chest, then back to his hair, pulling him closer. Bible’s hands, which had been cupping Build’s face, slid to the back of his head, his fingers tangling gently in Build’s hair.

Their mouths moved together, slowly at first, but as the moment deepened, so did the kiss. Build felt himself melting into Bible’s embrace, his knees weakening, completely lost in the sensation.

Before the kiss could turn too heated, Bible pulled away, breathless but smiling.

“We’re finally boyfriends now,” Bible whispered, his voice filled with awe.

They stared at each other for a moment, both grinning like fools, before pulling each other into another embrace—this one even tighter than before. Neither wanted to let go, and for now, they didn’t have to. They were finally together, and that was all that mattered.

Finally, Build thought, they were boyfriends. And he couldn’t have been happier.
