BUILD

PRESENT

As Build stepped off the plane, the familiar sights and sounds of home washed over him, filling him with an overwhelming sense of relief and nostalgia.

Three years had passed, years filled with relentless work, dreams fulfilled, and sacrifices made. And now, finally, he was home, ready to reconnect with everything he had left behind, especially Bible.

When he stepped out of the airport, his heart raced at the sight of a crowd gathered near the entrance, waving signs and banners.

His fans—his Beyourluv—were still there, supporting him. Tears welled up in his eyes as he waved to them, their familiar cheers ringing out like a warm embrace.

"Welcome home, Build!" they shouted, and he tried to compose himself, grateful beyond words.Amid the crowd, he spotted a familiar figure—P'Tong. With a grin, P'Tong yelled,

"Happy Birthday!" before running over and wrapping him in a tight hug.

Build had forgotten it was his birthday, too caught up in the anticipation of coming home. Around them, his colleagues—Apo, Ping, Mile, Jeff, Barcode, and more—joined in the reunion, embracing him one by one, each adding to the warmth of being back where he belonged.

As they laughed and caught up, Build's eyes kept darting around, searching for one face. He couldn't help but feel the ache of expectation, hoping for Bible to appear.

Apo noticed and leaned in, nudging him gently. "Don't bother looking around. He isn't here," he said softly.

Us pulled him into a hug and whispered, "He'll be at the homecoming. He promised."

Build's heart sank, and his shoulders slumped. He couldn't mask his disappointment.

Apo studied his face, sensing the weight of his feelings, and sighed. "Build, do you still love him?"

Build didn't respond. He didn't need to; they all knew the answer.

Bible had been on his mind every day of those three years, filling the empty spaces with memories, fueling his resolve to come back.

But hearing that Bible wasn't here, even on his birthday, felt like a blow.

Apo patted him on the shoulder. "Listen, sometimes... moving on is better than waiting."

But Build wasn't ready to let go.

Not yet.

They began to head toward the car, and as they drove through the familiar streets, Build couldn't help but feel the weight of the changes around him.

His friends had matured, the city had transformed, and the life he'd once known had shifted in ways he hadn't anticipated.

He wondered if Bible had changed too, if the love they had shared had faded or transformed into something else.

Would they still be the same, or had time moulded them into people who barely recognised each other?

As the city lights blurred past, Build clutched the hope that he'd soon see Bible again.

Even if everything else had changed, he wanted to believe that what they once had would still feel the same.

But as the doubts crept in, he couldn't ignore the thought that lingers in his mind, and hurts him like a bitch:

Had Bible truly moved on without him?
