Chapter 21

Theo and Draco hopped onto the train.

"Come on, you can sit with me and my friends." Draco started leading him to a compartment

"Do you sit with Harry?"

"No, we don't really hang out anymore. Not since I was sorted into Slytherin and he's Gryffindor."

"So?"

"Those houses are sworn enemies. We just don't really get along anymore."

"Dang, that's too bad. I'm still going to be friends with both of you."

"Ok, it's right here." They entered a compartment. "Move over crabbe."

Crabbe scooted over and Draco plopped down onto the seat. Theo sat down across from him.

"This is Crabbe and Goyle. Guys this is Theodore."

"Just call me Theo."

The two boys nodded.

After about an hour of riding and talking with Draco, the train stopped and got super cold and dark.

"What's going on? Is this normal?" Theo started freaking out. He hated the dark.

"No." Crabbe grunted.

Theo's breath started coming out ragged. Draco grabbed his shoulders to calm him down.

"Hey, it's okay. Lumos." Draco's wand lit up and Theo calmed down a bit.

"Thank you." The train started moving again and got warmer. The lights went back on.

"Nox" Draco sat down.

"I'm gonna go find Harry. I'll be back."

"Okay."

Theo opened the compartment door just as a familiar man walked by. 'Uncle Remus?' Theo thought as he watched him walk away. Theo had never met him but he had seen pictures.

He headed down the corridor looking in each compartment for Harry. After finally spotting him Theo opened the door.

The three people in the compartment looked at him.

"Err sorry, I hope I'm not interrupting something."

"Sorry, who are you?" The girl asked.

"Theo?" Harry questioned.

"You know him?" The ginger boy asked.

"We're neighbors." Theo responded.

"We'll it's very nice to meet you. I'm Hermione Granger and this is Ronald Weasley."

"Just Ron."

"I'm Theodore Black, you can just call me Theo."

"I didn't know you were a wizard." Harry said.

"You didn't? Both of my parents are."

"Both?"

"Oh yeah, you haven't met my dad. I haven't either though."

"You look a lot like him." Hermione said with a smile.

"What?" Theo and Harry said in unison.

"Well I'm assuming your dad is Sirius Black. You have the same last name and look extremely like him."

"She's smart." Theo smiled at her.

"Your dad is Sirius Black?" Ron asked.

"Yeah. Pretty cool huh?"

"Wicked."

"Oh we're nearly there." Hermione said, glancing out the window.

"I should go get changed. My trunk is with Draco."

"Draco Malfoy?" Ron asked, glancing at Harry.

"Yep."

"They're best friends. Theo and I are good friends but he and Draco are closer."

"Draco? Since when do you call him that?" Ron asked, sounding disgusted.

"I have since forever, just never around you two. We used to be friends."

"I'll see you guys around." Theo left the compartment behind.

Theo stood just outside of the giant doors with the rest of the first years waiting to be sorted.

"Hi, I'm Emily Winters . This is my twin brother Zac." A girl with blonde hair introduced.

"I'm Theodore Black."

"You mean like Sirius Black?" Zac asked.

"Yeah, exactly."

"What house do you hope to be sorted in?" Emily asked excitedly.

"I don't know. Either Slytherin or Gryffindor."

"Oh, well I heard that Slytherins are evil." Zac said.

"Not all of them. My mum was a Slytherin and she's not evil. Neither is my best friend."

"I guess maybe they aren't all bad. I'm going to be ravenclaw. Just like my mum."

"I'll probably be Hufflepuff." Zac said.

"Follow me." Professor Mcgonnagal said.

The first years all walked into the great hall. Theo looked at the ceiling in wonder. As Theo was standing he looked around at all of the faces. He easily spotted Harry, Ron, and Hermione. They waved to him smiling. He waved back and looked for Draco. Draco smiled as the two made eye contact.

Theo looked to the staff table and saw many different teachers. He spotted Remus and to his right saw his mum. 'What? Why is she here?' He waved his arms around to get her attention, causing everyone else to give him weird glances. Amaya finally noticed him waving and she nodded at him. He smiled satisfied.

Amaya sat next to Remus watching the sorting. They both had been surprised to see the other. Amaya was happy and realized how much she had missed her old friends. She wanted to give Remus a hug but didn't dare because of how things were when they had last seen each other.

After a lot of the kids had already been sorted, there were only about 10 kids left.

"Theodore Black!" Mcgonnagal called and everyone went silent.

Theo walked up to the stool as everyone began to whisper.

"Black? Like Sirius Black?"

Amaya could see Remus looking at her in the corner of her eye.

"Amaya? Is he.." he didn't have to finish because she understood.

"Yes. I found out on Halloween." She turned to look at him and saw tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry. I should've reached out to you. I should've tried to find you. I just-"

"Remus. It's fine. Let's talk about this later."

He nodded and they watched Theo talking to the hat.

After a while the hat finally made its decision, "Slytherin!" Everyone clapped and Theo walked to his table happily. He sat next to Draco and looked at Amaya. Amaya smiled hugely at him. He beamed back.
