Chapter 10

Amaya understood that Sirius liked her. She just didn't understand why he didn't sign. If he likes her then why wouldn't he take the opportunity to have her? It didn't make sense.

"Why didn't you sign?" Sirius sat down on a bench and put his head in his hands. He ran his hands through his hair and then finally looked up at her.

"I wasn't going to make that choice for you. When you first told me that you were going to be betrothed, then you didn't look happy. I want you to be happy no matter what. I will only sign if that's what you want."

"Oh."

"Maya. I love you. I always will. If you feel the same, I won't hesitate to sign. Your happiness comes first." Amaya felt like crying. He didn't just like her, he loved her. She had wanted to hear him say those words for so long.

"I do. I feel the same, Sirius. I want to spend forever with you." Sirius let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. A huge smile broke out onto his face and he hugged her tightly.

Sirius laughed and spun her around. "I was so worried. You have no idea how much it would have crushed me if you didn't like me."

"Good thing I do then."

"Yeah, good thing." Sirius set her down but didn't let go.

The two stared into eachothers eyes. They could feel each other's breaths on their faces. Sirius glanced down to her lips and back up to her eyes. She bit her lip bringing his attention back to them.

"May I?" Sirius' breath was husky.

"Yes."

Instantly Sirius' lips crashed to hers. The kiss was full of desire and longing. It was intense and passionate. After what felt like only a second the two pulled apart out of breath. Sirius leaned his forehead against hers and looked into her eyes.

"I've been wanting to do that for forever." Sirius had the biggest smile.

"How long have you liked me?" Amaya giggled, causing Sirius' heart to skip a beat.

"Thinking back it was around when we started hogwarts but I only realized it in fifth year."

"That long?" Amaya smirked and began to tease Sirius. "I guess I am just that perfect."

"Yes you absolutely are." Amaya blushed.

"We should probably head to bed before curfew." Sirius put on a pouty face.

"But I don't want to be away from you." He whined.

"Oh don't be such a baby. I'll see you at breakfast." Amaya began to walk away but was pulled back.

"Don't forget my goodnight kiss." She smiled and pecked him real quick and walked away.

"I'll get a real one tomorrow!" Sirius called after her.

Sirius got to the common room to find the Marauders and Lily sitting down on the couches. James was playing with Lily's hair while they all talked. Sirius sat down on one of the chairs and the others looked at him.

"So?" Remus asked.

"So, what?"

"How'd the talk with Amaya go?" Peter asked.

"Oh yeah, we saw you walking back to Hogwarts without her. Did you guys fight or something?" Lily asked.

"Wait, you left her there alone?" Remus asked.

"What is this? Twenty questions?"

"Sirius." Remus said sternly.

"Fine. We did kinda fight I guess, but we're good now."

"What did she want to talk about?"

"We were just working out what we fought about earlier."

"So you guys are good?"

"Yup! And you two?" Sirius gestured to Lily and James.

"Dating. She's my girlfriend." James said with the biggest smile.

"Nice. Welp imma head to bed." Sirius went up to his dorm and dropped onto his bed. He spent the rest of the night dreaming about a certain Slytherin.
