Amaya hugged Theo when he got home. She had heard about what happened at Hogwarts. Finally Peter Pettigrew was locked up in Azkaban where he belonged. He was revealed to be the traitor and Sirius' crimes were wiped clean. Amaya had hoped that meant he was coming home but she hadn't seen him.
Maybe after twelve years he didn't love her anymore.
The doorbell rang pulling her out of her thoughts.
"Dad?" Her dad gave her a hug and walked in.
"Where's my grandson!" He called out to the house.
"Grandpa!" Theo ran downstairs and hugged him tightly.
Amaya's dad had come out of hiding after the fall of Voldemort. He mostly traveled doing business for the ministry but he visited every once in a while.
"I heard about what happened with Sirius. Has he come to visit?"
"No, I don't think he will."
"Dad will! He will come." Theodore said.
"Of course he will, little Theo!" Her sad rubbed his head.
"I'm serious."
"Actually that would be me." Amaya spun around, her blue eyes meeting a pair of gray ones.
It had been forever since she had seen him. He looked like he had cleaned up since his prison picture.
"Sorry I took so long, love. I was at Moony's trying to look somewhat presentable for you." Amaya didn't answer, just stared. She couldn't believe her eyes. After twelve years he was finally here.
Tears came to her eyes and Sirius walked forward.
"Don't cry, darling." He wiped her tears away gently and pulled her into a hug.
Amaya hugged him back tightly. She felt that if she let him go he would be gone again.
"I promise to stay by your side. We'll be a proper family. If you still want me of course." Sirius' sweet loving tone changed to a worried one.
Amaya pulled away but didn't let go of Sirius. "Of course I do. I never stopped loving you and will never stop. You're the love of my life."
Sirius' face broke into a smile. He kissed Amaya and pulled her against his chest.
"And this is where I leave." Theo said walking out of the room.
The newly reunited couple laughed. That night was full of laughter and smiles all around.
This is the shortest of all, but I hope you like how it ended.
