Why? He cannot be vulnerable...he cannot...he cannot be weak in font of so many people..whoever she is, he will deal with her later.
"Hello Mr. Jade", a deep voice pulled Ajish out of his thoughts. A man, human, no less than 50 was standing along with 4 others, two men two women. His dark eyed angel was one of them.
"Hello", said Ajish while settling himself on the couch right in front of the dark eyed woman. She shifted a bit as if responding to Ajish's action. Everybody were still standing.
"I am Viom Haz. I am leading this delegation today Its a pleasure to be at your service', Said the man, while sitting on the farthest seat followed by others. He did not seem pleased at all.
" I will cut the chase, the Boat island which belongs to your country has a lot of lithium deposit along with some other precious metals. I have already offered up and above any reasonable amount for that tiny island. But your government refused. This is the final offer I am giving you." He raised a hand casually and a black suited vampire male paced a file in front of Mr. Haz.
Mr. Haz looked at the file and his eyes went back to meet Ajish's eyes.
" With all due respect Mr. Jade, my government still refuses. As you know we are a sovereign nation and cannot sell any part of our land."
"Then lease it out with mining permission for a century"
"I am afraid Mr. Jade, that will not be possible as well."
"What are your terms?"
"We don't have any."
"Name your price."
"Our country is not up for sale."
The atmosphere was getting tensed. The men behind Ajish were stiffening their backs. The Prime Minister had an expression of extreme worry. He let out a small whimper. He knew Ajish's patience was running thin and will snap at any moment.
"I guess we are at the end of the road, the smooth one. Brace yourself for the bumpy ride. I will have what I want by any means"
"Is that a threat?", this time the dark eyed angel spoke looking straight into Ajish's eyes.
Several sharp breaths were drawn. Mr Haz gave a warning glare to her but she was beyond fear.
"Treat it as one. Your people will suffer if this deal is not sealed by the sunrise." Ajish spoke tilting his head towards his angel.
" If you think that you are intimidating us with those threat of yours, then you will be disappointed. We are people of values, traditions and take extreme pride to be the children of The Land of Haz. We will protect it with everything we have and then everything we don't have." Her eyes were blazing and she was towering over Ajish. Ajish had a light smirk on his lips.
"Feisty'' he whispered.
"Adya, I think -" Mr. Haz had put his hand on her shoulders.
"24 hours, that is the time I am giving your government to reconsider their decision, but after that the island is mine" said Ajish, cutting in. He stood up and now was towering over Adya. He looked into her eyes. He could feel the waves of anger crashing in her eyes.
Before he knew it, before Adya knew it, before anybody else knew it, Ajish bent down to her ears and whispered..
"Calm down love"
Adya whole stature stiffened, everybody in the room held their breadth, even Ajish was shocked at his own actions. He immediately straightened his posture and walked out of the lounge.
This was for today. Hope you all will smile at the end. "Love can transcend space, time and dimensions". This was something I came across a while ago. So believe in love and smile. A tough time just makes you stronger for the better days. So have faith and work hard.
