Adya's eyes fluttered open. Although the sun was high and bright, Adya's eyes did not hurt. She was comfortable, a bit more than usual, as her fingers touched the grass. She was lying on a bed of grass. She could smell damp earth and moss. She was confused. She wanted to sleep some more but a soft sob caught her attention. It seems someone was behind the bushes. She slowly got up from the forest floor.

"Hello?" She called while inching towards the bushes.

"Anybody there?" She called once more but did not get any response. The sobs just got louder. She peeped behind the bushes carefully. A small girl was curled up burning her face in her knees. Her back was facing Adya. Adya stepped out of the bushes and called the little girl.

"Hey, little princess? Are you lost?" Adya asked softly still maintaining her distance. The little girl kept sobbing on her knees.

"Umm...What is your name?", Adya tries again. This time the little girl looked up at Adya. Her face was oddly familiar.

"My name is Adya Haz" The little girl managed to speak between the hiccups.

Adya froze at her spot. She was facing her little self. How is that possible? Where was she? But she did not have the time to think. The grass around the feet of the little girl caught fire. Now the little girl was standing right in the middle of a ring of fire that was spreading outwards.

Adya stayed rooted to her spot horrified.

"NO...NO", she tried to scream but her throat was dry.

She could see the little girl looking at her with tears in her eyes. She was not frightened..no...she had a sad expression on her face. She was not trying to escape the fire but just sitting there looking at Adya.

Adya needed to bring help. She turned around and started running in the opposite direction. Her legs were extremely slow. This was irritating her, agitating her. She tried her best to run fast, but it was of no use. After an eternity of running, she found her way out of the forest. She saw a tall figure standing at the edge of a sharp cliff. She could hear the ocean clearly.

She ran desperately towards the man. As she was getting nearer she recognized the man.

"RAI...RAI...PLEASE HELP" She could hear herself over the roar of the ocean.

The man didn't bulge, instead, her turned his back toward her. Now she was running out of breath. She needed to stop running a bit but she was desperate. What if she is late and the girl dies back in the forest? She can't let that happen.

"RAI...PLEASE HELP....FIRE.."She tried again but her throat was as dry as a log.

Finally, she hauled at the end of the clip. She caught hold of the man's arm and pulled him to face her. To her horror, it was not Rai but Ajish.

"NOO" She wanted to scream as she took some steps back.

"Why not sweetheart? You killed her and now I will kill all of you" Ajish was laughing like a maniac.

He pulled Adya, trapping her between his arms. She wanted to push him away but her hands were frozen, she was not able to move them. She looked up at Ajish.

"Love, the ocean is hauntingly beautiful" Ajish murmured.

"Love?" Adya repeated. She was confused. But the next moment she felt a strong push and just like a dream everything was slowing down. She was falling off the cliff. She didn't know how to swim. No ...no.. no...

"Please..." She whispered as she fell very very slowly, her hand still stretched towards Ajish. Ajish face had sad emotion.

Finally, she made contact with the water and everything around started speeding up. She was gasping for air, but she was drowning. She could not breathe, her body needed air. A throbbing pain in her chest was taking her closer to her inevitable death.

"Adya, love breath. Please love breath." She heard a familiar voice while she was wrapped in something warm and dry. But how is this possible? She is drowning.

"Baby, please..please breath." She could feel the hold getting tightened.

And like a flash of thunder reality hit her. She was not drowning. It was a dream...no a nightmare. She immediately opened her mouth and drew in the air like a newborn baby. Her eyes were still closed. She was breathing very heavily. Her heart was on overdrive. At this rate, she will have a heart attack. She tried to calm herself down. She was trained to do so. She started counting her heartbeats in her mind.

After a while, she realized that a pair of strong arms were holding her in her place and her head was resting on someone's chest. The heartbeat she was counting was not hers. She very slowly opened her eyes taking in the reality.

She was in a hospital bed. She lifted her head a bit to focus on the face of the heartbeat. She took some time to focus on the face. The most angelic face she has ever seen. She has never seen a face like this. So beautiful, so peaceful....

"Wait....Mr. Jade?" Realization hit her like a truck.

A sudden bout of rage filled her heart. She hates this man here. She pushed him with all her might. But this man here did not even realize that she was trying to get out of his arms. He was just staring into her eyes with love and concern.

"Love, welcome home" He whispered while pressing his lips on her forehead.
