Chapter 7

Taehyun's POV

On the squirrel's arm, there is a notepad attached there. There's a message written on it.

Will never forget your birthday, Babe. Happy 22nd Birthday!!! Be happy even when I was not there. Please take care of them for me. I miss you. Love you always!

Chaeryeong...

Her encounter is the best gift ever. "Thanks, Baby. For making me happy today. I miss you too. Love you too always," I said as look at the dolls. I take the dolls and said "Goodnight, Sweety..." Then, I enter my room to wash my body and slept with the dolls in my arms.

Hoping that she will visit me in my dream with a happy face after a long time staying in sadness.

10 years later

"What about Eunwoo?"

"After 2 years and he'll get out of jail. Why do you ask, Appa?"

"Don't you miss him, Beomgyu? He's the one who taking care of you since you were a baby. Yes, I know. He did something really bad to me but... He still your Appa," said Jimin. "Uhmm... Appa, I have a question for you," asked him. "What is it?" asked Jimin.

"Since when did you know that my Appa had a son?" asked him. "When he made the announcement about his resignation. From then on, you were introduced to the public," replied Jimin.

"Appa is his best friend, right? How come you didn't know that he's once married someone and has a son?" Beomgyu said. "Because he didn't tell me anything. Plus, I was too busy at that time. Why?" Jimin replied. "Oohhh... N-Nothing..." he replied as he accidentally stutter.

Jimin looks at him with curiosity. "Uhmm... Yeobo~~ Where are you? I miss you~~~" shouted Beomgyu as he tried to run away from her father-in-law. Jimin then still watched him go upstairs and enter his room.

At Kang's Company

"What are you looking at?"

"Oh! Eomma, when did you come? Uhmm... Nothing. I look at nothing,"

A few minutes ago, Mrs Kang secretly enters her son's office to take a look at what his son did. She became quiet for a few minutes seeing her son brooding behind the large transparent window. Finally, she chose to break the silence.

"Still waiting for her?" his mom asked. "Huh... You know about it, Eomma," he said. "Happy 32nd Birthday, my son," she said as she pass a letter to him. "Huh? Eomma... Thanks, Eomma. I love you so much!" he said as he hug and peck her cheeks.

"So happy, huh? See you at home, tonight. Appa wants to have a family dinner together," her mom said before getting out. "Okay!" he shouted happily as a replied. Just a letter from her can make him so happy that day.

At Kang's mansion

Taehyun and his family now are having their dinner time because today is his birthday. "Taehyun, did she still send a letter to you?" asked Mr Kang. "Yes, why?" he replied. "Don't you feel something bad will happen soon?" his dad said.

"Why did you think like that? Now you scared me!" Mrs Kang scolded her husband. "Sorry, didn't want to make you scared but... Chaeryeong has already gone for about 10 years now and she still didn't send her last message to him," Mr Kang.

"What do you mean? I didn't understand," Taehyun said.

"Maybe she's recovering,"

"Noona! When did you come back? Where are your husband and son?" he asked her sister who come back from the US.

"Just now, my workers who know Chaeryeong said they saw her with the CEO of Huening's Company enter a private club in the US. Then, I immediately inform Appa about that. Now, I know that she's already gone from Korea. Did she run away from you?" asked his sister.

"You think she's already cheated on me?" he asked. "Yes!--- Wait!? Taehyun, no! Haihh... That's not what I mean," she replied. "You're lying. Then, why did you tell us about that?" he said.

"No! Taehyun, please remember that I'm not staying in Korea so I didn't know how's your relationship with Chaeryeong going on. Maybe the two of them break up, I didn't know!" she said. "Just like you and your past lover?" he said. "Taehyun!" Mr and Mrs Kang warn him.

"It's already the past! What is wrong with you, Kang Taehyun!?" she said in anger while looking at him. "Your husband is not the real Appa of your son. Your lover left you while you were pregnant with his son. Isn't it right?" he said while smirking at her.

"Plaps!!!"

"I coming back home to give some help to help you find Chaeryeong but this is what I got from my own brother? Huh, you already waste my time Kang Taehyun. I will not help you to find Chaeryeong," his sister said as she go back to her room.

Taehyun then got up to go back to his room.

In Taehyun's room

Taehyun's POV

Am I right? I should not be searching for you right? I should let you go. Waiting for your last message and finish. I should wait. "Park Chaeryeong... Where are you...?" I said as my tears fell nonstop.

In Mr and Mrs Kang's room

"What about them, Honey?" Mr Kang asked his wife.

"She tell me that he actually doesn't want to search for Chaeryeong because of his promise to her. He doesn't want to say it so that's why he brings up old stories to make her despair and not give him help," Mrs Kang replied.

"Luck him for having an understanding sister. His love for Chaeryeong was so strong as whenever they made a promise, he'll never break it. Our children now are all grown up. They're already mature," he said feeling proud of them.

In the United States of America

Chaeryeong's POV

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

"Wow!"

"That was good, sis!"

"Your shots are getting better and right on target, Judy. Congratulations! Got all full marks!"
