Ayden's pov

I hate him. As much as I wanted to be with him before, that's how much I want nothing to do with him now. It's just a few days until his mating and he's becoming more and more cruel to me as time goes by, trying to force me to submit to him. I buried my head deeper into my paws as a loud moan of desire reaches my overly sensitive ears, biting back a whimper of pain as I listen to the two of them from my assigned corner of his room. You're probably wondering why I'm in my wolf form right? Well this is another part of my so called punishment . . . until I agree to let him walk all over me without complaining he won't allow me to shift. Now the reason I'm in his room is something even I don't understand . . . I mean if he loved me as much as he said he did, why would he make me suffer like this? Why wouldn't he let me go? My thoughts are cut off by a loud cry and I lift my head in time to see Alpha's mouth pressed against Tara's neck, his teeth breaking the skin as he leaves a mark of possession on her neck.

"Now mark me Tara."

Tara looks at me, uncertainty in her eyes as I silently plead with her to refuse, but the Alpha gently turned her around to face him again and she seemed to forget that I even existed. I let out a whine as she leaned in, her canines elongating as he offered his neck to her and I pushed myself up, slowly making my way to the door; unable to stand the scene in front of me any longer. The last sound I hear before
I managed to stumble down the stairs and escape the house, disappearing into the night, was the Alpha's growl of victory.

Later that night

Ayden's pov

I don't know how long I've been running, but I know I can't push myself much further . . . my heat has come back, this time it's much stronger and without Dr Douglas's medicine my body refuses to cool itself down. I only make it a few more steps before I collapse, my lungs on fire, my heart racing and my head throbbing uncontrollably. As tears trickled down my face, I let out a desperate plea.

"P-Please some . . . someone help me."

The moment the words escaped my lips, I heard footsteps approaching me

"Please I-I can't move . . . please help me."

"I'm surprised you made it this far Ayden . . . who would have thought you had it in you to try to run from me."

I closed my eyes at the sound of Alpha's voice, quickly losing my will to fight.

"Please, let me go or kill me . . . I can't do this anymore!"

"I don't think so . . . until I the day I die or get tired of you . . . YOU BELONG TO ME."

Alpha roughly lifts me into his arms and I let out a wail of despair, knowing that nothing he does to me will cause me to suffer more than knowing I had just lost my one and only chance to escape.
