Dear Jo, How's Beth ? I haven't stopped thinking about her from the moment I left. The teachers are already talking about how we're going to have a week off in March as it is 'teacher training week' so I'm going to see you sooner then expected. Father wrote anything ? He said he should be home soon so hopefully we're all together even if it's one last time. Keep me updated. Yours sincerely Rory
Rory closed her letter and looked up Evan Rosier was walking to her "you alright McKinnon ?" He questioned
"Fine" she put the letter in her bag "what's with you ?" She asked
"Nothing just wanted to check on a friend"
Rory laughed at him "you and me ? We're not friends" she shook her head
"Then what are we ?" He asked keeping his voice down. He kept eye contact with her the whole time "be nice though I'll start crying in a minute" Rory giggled "she laughs ?"
"She does" Rory put her bag on her legs "but I'm not laughing with you I'm laughing at you"
Evan touched his heart "ouch"

Regulus walked into the great hall and sat with Barty "where's Evan ?"
Barty sniggered "where do you think he is ? Flirting with a girl" he turned to see Evan sitting with Rory. They were staring at each other closely and laughing at one another. Evan kissed her hand.
Regulus had never felt this feeling in his stomach before. It was just Rory. The same story he'd known since he was young. His best friend. Why did he want to drag Evan away from her and take his space. Regulus kept his head down.
"You alright ?" Dorcas Meadows asked
"Fine" Regulus said in a demanding tone "I'm gonna get to class" Regulus walked back out
Barty looked at Dorcas "class starts in half an hour what the bloody hell is he on about"
Dear Rory, Beth is doing good surprisingly, she is eating normally and her temperature is not so bad anymore. She misses you all terribly. She says as soon as you get back she wants to go to the beach and have fun. Father hasn't send any letters yet but if he was in trouble we'd be the first to know. I miss you dearly Rory. Tell Marlene and Natasha I miss them also. PS Madeye Moody says the order is getting stronger. Just thought you'd like to know. Love Jo.

Natasha walked out of the Gryffindor common room. James potter clapped his hands "there she is" he walked next to her "you're gonna help me with Lily today"
"Okay" Nat said squinting "what do you want me to do ?" She asked
"You're gonna go back into the common room" He pointed "just like talk about how amazing I am and how kind I am to you"
She groaned "fine" they both walked in together.
She spotted Lily on the sofa on her own, Nat sat herself down "hey Lils"
"Hey you" Lily grinned "you're hair looked lovely I love the colour"
"Oh really ? I was debating going back to brunette" Nat said playing with her hair
Lily gasped "can I help you ? I've always wanted to dye someone's hair. When you do it of corse" Lily tried to contain her excitement
"Yes I'd love that" she had to find a way to get James into the conversation "you know who else wants to help ? James Potter. He's such a sweetheart"
"Really ?"
"Lily he offered so quickly. He's so lovely, I think he has a thing for you Yano" she said laying back
Lily rolled her eyes "he's made that clear since first year. I just don't think we'd work"
"I think you would. He's funny, handsome he's got a good personality"
"Jesus Nat I think you should date him with the way you describe him" Lily laughed "anyways I've got to go" she stood up "I'll catch you later ?"
"Corse"
James sat were Lily did "how did it go ?"
Natasha shook her head "she's tough or she's just like every other girl and doesn't fall for your charm"
"Hey" James shoved her "I'll have you know I am very good at getting girls"
"But you need the weird kid of the year to help you ?" She tilted her head "right".

Rory was in the Gryffindor common room and all of her sisters friends were sitting on the sofa. She was learning guitar from Natasha.
Rory was already amazing but it was her excuse to sit with her sister. Natasha was listening and after Rory finished everyone clapped.
"Amazing" Natasha said taking the guitar back
James Potter was watching "who taught you how to play guitar ?" Rory just pointed at Nat "no way"
"Yeah I've always been able to play guitar. Why can you not ?"
James stood up "come on then teach me" she smiled at him.
Everyone went to bed while James and Nat sat on the sofa "alright you hold it like this" she set it in his hands "okay. We'll start with an easy song like twinkle twinkle little star"
"What a tune"
"Strong from the wrist" she said showing her hand on the guitar
James laughed "strong from the wrist" he mocked
"James be serious. Alright so press there" she kept on grabbing his hands and putting them in places. He was staring at her intensely. He had so many opportunities to lean in but he wasn't sure.
She smiled laying back on the sofa watching James. She eventually passed out, she woke up to James pushing her "I can do it!" He yelled
He started playing and it was perfect. He practised all night and finally got it "I'm not ready to play Elvis" he stated
Natasha giggled at the boy "you're ridiculous" she looked at the clock "I've got to meet Micheal for breakfast I'll see you around" she stood up.
