Weeks later and March break was already around the corner. Rory just wanted to get home and see Beth, all she thought about was Beth. Was Beth okay ? Was she feeling like she was okay ? Was she too hot ? Was she too cold ? But Rory felt ridiculous half the time thinking of it.
She got to the train when Peter Pettigrew walked up to her "oh by the way you're invited to James's party on Friday" he smiled "make sure you come"
"Oh okay" she smiled awkwardly at the boy before he scurried off to his mates. Rory got on the train, this time not waiting for Regulus. She sat in a compartment with Richard Carter and slept nearly the whole way home.
The three girls got off the train and made their way home. They knocked on the door to be treated by only two sisters.
It was weird not having Beth standing around, she would usually drag Rory to listen to her play the piano or even try to help her bake.
Rory straight away asked "where's Beth ?"
"Upstairs sleeping" Meg sighed as Rory ran up the stairs
Marlene hugged Meg "she's been worried the whole time"
Rory sat at the end of Beth's bed waiting for her to wake up "Rory ?" Beth muttered
"Beth" she hugged her sister tightly "I'm so glad you're okay" she pushed Beth's hair out of her face "Natasha's going to take you to the sea like you want"
Beth smiled "really ? How's Hogwarts"
"Good. Horrible without you" she said getting in bed with her sister
"I've been playing the piano" Beth smiled, her voice was raspy "I'd love for you to hear it"
"You know I'd listen to you play every day".

Natasha and Marlene sat with Jo and Meg "so how's wedding planning going ?" Marlene asked "picked a dress ?"
"Of corse. Oh it's beautiful isn't it Jo ?" Meg look at her sister Jo just nodded. It was clear Jo was sick of wedding plans
"Well you know Professor Montgomery said he's going to come. You invited him Meg ?" Natasha said tilting her head
"Chris Montgomery is coming ?" Jo turned to Meg. She looked rather excited.
"Oh I'm sure he will Jo" Marlene winked at Jo. The twins started giggling.

Natasha got Beth out of Bed. Beth sat on her lap at the beach watching the ocean. Nat was reading her favourite book to Beth.
"I love the way you read Nat but I love it even more when it's your own" Beth said closing her eyes
Nat bowed her head "I haven't been able to write in a while" she sighed
"You should write me something. Just for me, you have a gift... I'm very sick and you must do what I say" Beth giggled.
Beth leaned on Natasha's lap as she read even more "you write me lots. Keep writing them"
"I will"
"Even when I'm not here" Beth said as a awkward silence roamed
"Don't say that"
Beth sat up "I've had a lot of time to think Natasha. But I'm not afraid" she grabbed Nat's hand "it's like the tide going out it goes out slowly but it can't be stopped"
"I'll stop it" Natasha finally spoke. She hugged her sister "we'll stop it".

That night Rory slept next to Beth, she was whispering jokes to her sister. They fell asleep while Marmee watched over them.
Rory woke up to see Beth not there "Marmee ?" She had tears in her eyes running down the stairs "Marmee!" She ran down to see Beth sitting on the table "oh my god" she hugged her sister tightly.
Meg yelled from the living room "Rory! Get in here"
Rory slowly walked in to see her father at the door "you're home ?"
"For good this time kid" he still had the same warm smile he did months ago. Rory ran over and hugged her father.
Short chapter but just wanted you guys to kinda get Beth.
