Natasha got the call "we're sorry to report Miss Potter but Marlene McKinnon was found on the 16th June appeared to be hit with a killing curse. We send our condolences"
Natasha broke down in James's arms, she had lost the other half of herself. She wasn't used to being alone like this. She had a million people around her, but she felt entirely alone.
She sat on the sofa and grabbed a pillow crying into it. She realised her child would grow up without Marlene, Marlene wouldn't even get to see the babies face. Marlene would miss out on everything.
Sophie and Ray knocked on the door. James let them in.
Sophie held up a tub of ice cream "couldn't let you suffer alone"
Ray held up spoons "thought you'd want some ice cream"
Natasha wiped her tear "thanks" Sophie and Ray both climbed in with her. She cried and cried. And cried.

Rory stormed out of the house. She walked through a field until sunrise. When she turned she saw Regulus staring at her. He was a mess.
"No" Rory shook her head knowing Regulus "no I'm not doing this now"
"It's no use Rory. We gotta have it our Rory" he followed her "I have loved you ever since I have known you Rory I couldn't help it"
"Stop"
"And I've tried to show you I'm sorry but you wouldn't let me which is fine" he said in a begging tone "but I must make you hear now. And give me an answer because I cannot go on like this anymore Rory. I can't keep on being on and off with you"
"Please Reg"
"I gave up everything you didn't like Rory I'm happy I did. But this is something I cannot stop. But I figured you loved me Rory" he said "and I realise I'm not this great man"
She walked closer "no no. You're great I swear, and I'm so grateful to you because I love you so much" she cried "but we can't. Not with you being a death eater, I can't move on from that"
"You can't ?"
"No I can't change my opinions. I'll always love you alright" she exhaled "I'm so sorry"
"I can't love anyone else Rory I only love you" he said sternly
"This would be a disaster" she said breathlessly "you'd be embarrassed"
"But we'd be a disaster together"
"We'd be miserable" she attempted to walk away
"I'd be a perfect saint!" He kept on trying to make him appear better
"I've tried it Reg. We're from two complete different worlds"
"Then why does your family and my family expect us to be together ?" He put his hand out "say yes let's be happy together Rory" he grabbed her hand
Rory frowned "I can't say yes to you. I can't, and you'll thank me for it in the future because you and me are not going to work" it pained her to say but Regulus was a death eater, she was with the order. It was never going to work
Regulus leaned away "I would rather hang myself then realise this Rory" he started walking away "I'd rather be dead"
"No don't say that" she followed after him "listen you're going to find some girl after this stupid war and you'll live happily ever after. But I wouldn't be your happily ever after"
"Yes you would Rory"
"Look at me! I'm the complete opposite. Im messy and all over the place" Rory yelled
"But I love you Rory"
"I don't even want kids. You and me would argue we do it all the time, you'd hate me in the end of this" she cried "and everything would go wrong"
Regulus looked down "is there anything more ?"
"No" she looked up "except that you know I'll always love you. But I don't think I'm going to marry or settle down. Im enjoying my freedom to much"
"I think you'll settle down" he stated so confidently "I'll think you're going to find someone you would die for because that's your way"
"I don't think so. I've only loved you but this can't be" she shook her head "we're not little kids anymore"
He leaned in and kissed her "goodbye Rory" he turned around walking away. Tears streaming out of his eyes.
Rory sat down on the floor digging her head into her knees
