Chapter 25

* Four Years Later*

Kaila's POV

Everybody has been giving me the world. King bought me a studio and I had plenty of people signing up for work and to dance with me. AJ has been treating me like a queen; no clubbing, cheating, or being out late unless King had him out late. Oh, I moved in with him too. "Babe!" I yelled walking around the house. "I'm in the shower!" he yelled from the adjoining bathroom. "Hurry up!" I said walking in the bathroom. I had on my sundress and I had my hair in plats. I opened the drawer and grabbed a black rubber band. I put most of it down and made a little ponytail at the top. The water stopped running and AJ slid the door back. I walked out and laid back on the bed and stared at the ceiling. After three minutes, AJ came out in his boxers. "What you thinking about?" he said walking into the closet. "I'm thinking about how long it take you to get ready, just to go shopping with me." I said sitting up. "I'm dressed now." he spoke walking out and kissing my forehead. I stood up and he grabbed and kissed me again. "Stop." I mumbled, we really had a place to be. "Alright." he said and we walked down the stairs. We walked out the door and I locked it. "I just wanna get some shoes." I said getting in his white Mustang. "Alright." he said backing out and pulling off.

At the mall, he kept groping the hell out of me. I just laughed at him and he smiled back. I walked into Champs and went straight to the grade school section. "I want the KD's and Irving's in a four and a half." I told the tall man in front of me. "The ZX Flux right here in a 5, and thats all." I smiled as he shook his head and walked off. AJ was sitting down in his phone, he was a designer nigga. He rarely wore Nike products or Adidas. So I had to get stuff for him so he could get off that high ass horse. I walked over to the men's side and seen some all white ZX Flux's to get for him. "Excuse me." I said to the man who had gotten my shoes. "Can I get these? Size 10." I said noticing the eyes on me. "Do I look like I wear a damn ten?" I said putting my small ass feet on Display. They laughed and went back to their business. I walked to the register and waited as the lady rang up all four pair of shoes. "That'll be $366.67." she said looking up at me. I took my cash out to pay and AJ popped my hand. I put my money back and put it in my purse. He handed her the money and she handed me the change. I stuffed it in my purse as he grabbed the bags. "I'm going to Journey's and MK. You trying to get anything out of here?" I looked at him. "Nah." he said quickly. I turned into Journeys and picked up the Pumas I wanted for the longest. "Can I have these in a 5?" I already knew my shoe size for everything. The woman nodded, watching AJ the whole time. He was too busy looking at my behind to notice her. She handed me the box and I scoffed. I walked off from her and went to the register. "Will that be all for today?" the man smiled. "Yes. Thank you." I smiled back. "That'll be $64.78" he said looking at me. I handed him my card and be swiped. I put in my pin number and he handed my receipt. I grabbed the bag and recovering and walked out with AJ following. I made my way through the people to Michael Kors I picked up the gold sneakers. "Excuse me? Can I have a 5?" I said and the lady went to go get it. I was officially done with shopping for the day.

I came downstairs in a tight black dress, my plats in a bun, and my snakeskin Christian Louboutin pumps. AJ was looking up at me, and he was looking mighty dapper himself. The fitted suit and the red European loafers made me fan girl over him. I smiled and started to walk down holding my red clutch in my left hand. He grabbed my free hand as I came down the last few steps. "You look beautiful. " he smiled at me and kissed my cheek. "Thank you." I smiled. "You don't look bad yourself." I said looking him up and down. He smiled and led me out the door to his black BMW i8. "I love this car, it's just like me." I giggled. "What's that." he mumbled. "Black, beautiful, and unique." I said. "The only difference is that you're priceless."he said opening the door for me to get in. He was spitting mad game tonight. We drove to a beach and he parked in the parking lot. I looked at him sideways and he smiled." Trust me, you'll love it." he smiled, pecking my lips. I took off my shoes and left them in the car. He did the same, and we steeped out and started walking on the sand until we couldn't hear noise anymore. There was a white tent, with white chairs and a white table. Beautiful pink roses were thrown over the sand and there was white wine on ice on the table. He pulled out my seat for me to sit and went around and sat in his chair. A waiter came over to us and I noticed the music playing around us. He placed two plates in front of us; chicken breast, broccoli, and mashed potatoes. We said grace before we dug into our food. After I finished AJ smiled at me. "Want desert?" he winked. I laughed. "If it's my favorite, then yes." I said adjusting myself. I was ultimately hungry and fatigued. Maybe because of the baby I found out I was having a few days ago. I didn't tell him exactly yet. I guess I was going to do it tonight. A waitress picked up our plates and before she left I asked for water. "You don't like white wine?" he frowned. "No, I love it. But, I just want water right now. I'm not really in the mood for it." I shrugged and he nodded. The waitress gave me a glass, and I picked it up and took a couple of sips. The waiter came our with Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake. If my eyes could make hearts it would have. AJ and the waiter laughed. "You remembered? Aww." I said as I grabbed my fork. I went to work on the cheesecake and finished before he did. "Kai? You good you don't usually eat like this." he said with his eyebrow raised. I guess it's as good a time as any. "Okay so you know how you had to go to Miami five weeks ago before you came back this morning?" he nodded. "Okay. And... Remember how we had sex before you left?" he put his fork down. "You're pregnant?" he said. "Yeah." I said looking off towards the water that I couldn't see but I could hear. "You're absolutely positive?" he asked. "Well yeah, drinking a lot of water just to pee on 15 tests that said positive is pretty valid." I said sitting back in the chair. Guess he doesn't want children right now. We could've avoided it, but we were so into it and we didn't even think about it. He got up and left the table and I just sat there. I don't care if we have to separate, but I was being grown in that bed and I'll have to such it up like a grown woman and take care of my little girl or boy. I blew out air and looked down at my stomach. I loved it already.
I finally decided to get up and walk back towards the car. He had the headlights on and I could tell he was on the phone. I opened up the car door while he was still talking. "... I'll talk to you later...Yeah ma.. Alright.. Bye." he hung up the phone. I put on my seat belt and looked put the window. I watched the buildings go by as I fell asleep.

I woke up while we were pulling up to the gate. "AJ put the code in and he waited for it to open. When they opened wide enough he pulled in and parked the car in its original spot. I got out and closed the door. I was basically a month pregnant and I didn't know where my relationship with the father stood. I opened the door and walked upstairs to take my shower, my stomach was a little round but it wasn't a big deal. I stepped in, grabbed my washcloth, put soap on it, and scrubbed my body and feet off from the sandy beach. I stepped out and grabbed a towel I dried off and wrapped the towel around myself AJ was in the bed facing the huge window. He never laid that way when he was laying with me. I put on some fresh underwear and a tank top. I climbed on the high bed and faced towards the bathroom. I drifted off.

AJ's POV

All I heard was a gag and feet hitting the floor hard. I got up and ran after her. She kneeled on the floor and I grabbed her braids. When she was done, I wiped her mouth with a wet cloth and gave her some Listerine. She spit it out and I grabbed her hand and turned off the bathroom light. I clapped and the room lights came on. I sat against the headboard and I had her straddle me. "I'm... I'm sorry." she said looking down. "I should've made sure. I-I always d-d-do." she added on. I wiped her tears away. "Look Kaila. I'm sorry, I just didn't know how to take it. This is my responsibility too." I said touching her stomach." she put her head in the crook of my neck and I let her stay there until her breathing got heavy. When it did happen I scooted down so I can lay on my back. I drifted off to her sleeping.

In the morning we decided we'll tell everybody in a couple of days, except for King. Well, if she could hold it. I started to think of who I was having a child with and the thought of it wasn't bad to me anymore. "You ready to go?" I said looking at her putting on her sandals.

Kai's POV

"Yeah. We can go." I said standing up. We walked down the stairs and out of the door. We got back in his i8 and got on the freeway to get to my brother. To say I was nervous is an understatement.

When we got there I was ready to go home. I stayed tapping my foot uncontrollably. "Bae relax." he said holding my hand. I took a few breaths and stepped out of the car and so did he. We walked to the door hand in hand and I knocked. "Who is it?" Quisha yelled. "Kaila and AJ." he said tightening his grip on my hand. "Hey y'all. How y'all doing?" she smiled and hugged us. She was a sweet girl, just had to be tough on my brother. "We're good and you? How's my nephew doing?" I said looking for him. They had a son three years ago and named him Kingston. That was all King's idea. He was the cutest; chocolate like his parents, pretty brown eyes, lots of hair, but he was bad as hell. "With his daddy, they don't feel good." she pouted. "We needed to talk to him though. It's gonna be brief. I ain't tryna be sick." I said. "Ten minutes tops." she said. "That's all I need." I replied going up the stairs. I knocked on the door and he yelled to open it. "Hey big brother. I just came by to check on you and the family." I said sitting on the edge of the bed, AJ was holding my hand. Kingston was asleep on his chest and you could hear that his nose was stuffy. "Wassup with you?" he looked back and forth between us. "Well... I'm pregnant. I have been for a month now. Just found out a couple days ago." I said breathing carefully. "Why so early Kaila?" he frowned. "I'm sorry. It was a mistake." she frowned. "What's done is done." he said. "I support you though." he said adjusting baby King so he didn't suffocate himself. "Quisha told me I only had ten minutes so I gotta go. And oh you can't tell anybody." I spoke walking out the room and downstairs. "Quisha we out!" I yelled. "Alright bye y'all!" she yelled back.

We got outside and AJ picked me up. "I love you Kaila." he mumbled against my lips. "I love you too Amari." I smiled and kissed him. He put me down and we got in the car. "I'm hungry." I frowned. "And here it starts he chuckled.
