Kaila's POV

My alarm went off at six o'clock a.m. I had an appointment at seven, and I hated being late. I would wake AJ up forty five minutes after, especially since he doesn't take too long to get dressed. I got out of the bed and made my way to the bathroom. Then, I relieved myself and wiped before turning the shower on. When it was to my liking, I stepped in and let the water beat on my back. I grabbed the wash cloth and soaked it. When I looked down, I noticed how my stomach changed; it was fairly noticeable. I searched online and that's not normal for a first time pregnancy. I made a mental note to ask my doctor about it. I went ahead and put body wash on the wash cloth and started to scrub clean. After five minutes of that, I was rinsing off my body. Then, I turned the water off. I pushed the glass door and walked onto the soft bathroom rug. I grabbed the plush towel and wrapped it around me. I went into the drawer pulling out a black panty and bra set. I put that on and threw on one of AJ's shirts. I looked over at him and he was slowly feeling my spot, noticing I wasn't there. I left out of the room, and I went downstairs into the kitchen. I made cheese grits, bacon, and pancakes. I also took out my pineapple bowl from Publix, which we started to stock up on since I started eating it more. I walked swiftly upstairs to hear AJ in the shower. I stepped into the bathroom and opened the shower door. "AJ breakfast is ready. Just throw on something and come eat." I said and he turned to look at me and nodded. "Come here." he smirked. "Nope, I took my shower already and we have somewhere to be." I said turning and walking out. "Hurry up!" I yelled as I walked out. I went back and started to eat without him. The baby wasn't feeling the pancakes, so I left it alone. However, everything else had me on cloud nine; I was falling in love with food as the days went by. AJ came in the kitchen and fixed himself a plate. He sat across from me and dug in. "This is good ma." he said finishing off the last bit of grits.

We were upstairs now; our teeth were brushed, AJ was dressed, and I was getting frustrated. "I don't know what to wear." I said whining. AJ got up quickly and roughly pulled a sundress off the hanger. He handed it to me and I quickly threw it on. I slid my feet into some sandals, and I ended up following AJ out of the door.

When we got in the car, he was noticeably aggravated. He was tapping his fingers on the steering wheel and his jaw was loosening and tightening. I played with one of my plats as I looked at him. "I'm sorry, I don't like being late or in a rush either. " I mumbled. He looked at me and back at the road. "It's alright." he said letting out a sigh. I put my head back and looked out of the window.

AJ's POV

"What you crying for? " I asked sincerely. I have been a little frustrated with this pregnancy thing. I'm having second thoughts about going through with this. Of course I love Kaila.. But am I really ready and do I have what it takes to be a good father? "Hormones." she mumbled. This hormone thing is killing me too; when she's pissed it's over the top, when she's sad it's over the top, and I have to be careful what I say. It's too much to handle. I pulled into a parking space and I turned the car off. We got out of the car and headed inside. Kai went to sign in and I sat on the "Well" side of the hospital. I damn sure don't need for us to be sick. She sat next to me and I grabbed her hand. "Look at me, I'm just as scared as you." I told her. She let out a sigh and put her head on my shoulder. "I know baby, I know." she mumbled.

We sat and talked for about twenty minutes. "Kaila Williams? " the nurse called out and looked around. We stood up and walked towards the nurse holding the door open. We followed her to the scale. "Take your shoes off and step on this for me please. " she said pointing to the scale. Kaila looked at her feet and at the lady. "I have on slides, so does it make a difference if I take my shoes off?" she said looking at the scale as if it were disgusting. I looked at the floor, trying no to laugh. "Can you just get on the scale please?" the lady said with an attitude. I looked up and mugged her and so did Kaila. "Um. Can I get another nurse please? Because, I do not have time for a bald headed lady in blue scrubs to yell at me for being sanitary." Kaila spoke loudly. I grabbed her hand and pulled her away from the lady. "I'm going to take you to your brother's private hospital, I should've did that in the first place. Come on." I said trying my hardest not to laugh. "No, I'm just trying to say she don't have to be rude cause she bald headed and couldn't get a better job that the city clinic." she said as we were walking outside. "Kaila, relax." I said as we got to the car. She huffed and got inside.
