AJ

"Ma!" Nakaila screamed as she crawled to Kai. "Hi baby girl." She laughed before picking her up. "Here's your plate." I said as I sat it on the table. She sat down and picked up the fork. After digging into the eggs, she looked up at me and fixed LaLa's hands. "You spending time with us today?" She asked as she put grits in her mouth. "I can't today baby girl." I said as I put food in my mouth. She just shook her head. "Amari. All I want is a little time. All I'm asking you for." She huffed as she dropped the fork. Kaila stood up and put the baby on her side. She left me sitting at the table with Nate.

I got up and grabbed him. "Kaila!" I yelled as I headed behind her. "What?" She said as she turned around. "What's your problem?" I asked as I stood in the door frame. "AJ I trust you, I do. But I'm getting worried about a lot. Your job don't require you to be out from this early to that late at night." I frowned.

"Kaila trust me I am not going through this building trust shit again. I am not cheating! I'm not doing nothing illegal! I'm just preparing some stuff for us. That's it. All you need to know." I said as I looked at her. "Whatever AJ. It better be damn good whatever the fuck it is." She said as she turned around and sat LaLa down.

Kai

My phone started to ring and I grabbed it out of my pocket. "Hello?" I answered. "Hey Kai, it's Lauren. Drea is really in her feels today and I just don't know what to tell her." She said and I sighed. "Okay pass the phone to her." I said. Lauren passed it and Andrea was balling crying. "Drea. Drea. Please stop crying and talk to me." I said as I looked at AJ in the door. I put her on speaker and picked LaLa back up. She was hitting on me and I was listening at the phone. "Auntie Kai. I miss my daddy." She sniffled and AJ rubbed his face. "Drea, your daddy went to heaven babygirl. I know it's hard and of course you're going to miss him. But he's in your heart. He should always be there." I said as I rubbed my temples. "Okay." She mumbled. I hung up the phone and grabbed LaLa.

"What time are you coming home?" I said as I walked up to AJ. "I swear I'll be back by four." He said as he looked at me. "I can't stand yo chocolate ass you know that?" I said as I eased him. "You love me girl." He spoke kissing my nose. "Let me get ready. I'll be back." He spoke as I moved out of his way.
